Totally a fun app. Nice graphics. Super simple.
Just needs a few extra things
Just needs the ability to bend and manipulate the branches, and a zoom feature. Maybe a gallery of your previous trees. Add something where the old trees grow, and you have to perform maintenance with the help of a push notification.

Not enough features
I’m not quite sure why everyone has been giving this app such a Good rating. The graphics are horrible and you can’t bend branches, grow new parts of the tree, and the cutting is bad. And there is not enough options of trees to choose from. I Don’t recommend this app at all.
Hard to trim
If you could zoom in it would make the trimming so much easier and more precise so you can get it looking how you want otherwise very fun. We have bonsais in our garden 😊
Could be great… but isn’t
The most important part of bonsai is time and this is missing from this app. We need to see how pruning will affect the tree over time. This app only amounts to gardening. Could be a great app but isn’t.

C’mon?!? Really?? There’s nothing to this. This seems like someone had the initial spark of a good idea, barely started to create something, realized it would be a tremendous amount of development work and then quit.

I really like your app. I have growing bonsai for a very long time and found your app really fun to play with.
Suggests
1. Bonsai are rarely planted in the center of a pot; usually at 1/3 or 2/3 position.
2. If you really get ambitious, add a grow button; then, the user goes back to prune.

Wasted potential
What could have been a good app is just extremely limited and useless.
I really enjoy this app
Some complain that it's not 'entertaining' but, it's the calmness and serenity of just sitting and trimming that is the appeal of Bonsai in the first place. This isn't a game with points or scores but I find it extremely calming for my anxiety. People complain that it's repetitive and non rewarding but, real life bonsai is exactly that, repetitive and deliberate trimming.

very cute
i thought this app was amazing. it’s design is really nice and i love the fun facts about bonsai! the colours are very pleasing to the eye and the overall quality is very nice.
zoom please
some kind of zoom function would be really great. makes it difficult to see where i actually want to cut and i cut the wrong spot so many times because i cant get a better vantage point. other than that its awesome.
Fun, curious little app.
I’ve been to Como many times, but just learned of this app. The process is easy to go through and the random nature of the base trees is fun. Overall this is relaxing and enjoyable. I did have to ask Siri to get back out of the app though.
Anti Climactic
I honestly had high hopes for this app, but all you do is just trim a random bonsai the game gives you. The only good thing about this was the fun facts.

I love this app. It allows me to tune out the stresses of the day and create beauty (no matter where I am).
I would suggest a few tweaks to make it 5 star worthy.
1. A zoom in and out function would be a huge help.
2. I wish I could go back and touch up old trees.
3. Finally it would be awesome if once I finish the tree the app would show an animation of tree from beginning to end.

So Impressed!
I didn't even know there was such an App., but I decided to look and how EXCITED I was to find this. U can do most of ur pruning & practice before u ever begin on ur real tree! Great for beginners & anyone who loves The Art of Bonsai! Thanks for creating this! Definately 5 Stars!

Great idea but needs zoom feature..
I keep chopping off the wrong branches and having to slide undo. A zoom feature would enable exact branch clipping.
Some extra tools would also make it interesting as well as letting the bonsais created be saved and grow in a virtual garden with virtual seasons. Then they could be returned to and trimmed once regrowth has appeared.
Would also be really interesting to add root trimming.
