Very Helpful

and Very Responsive adding new products

Dangerously inaccurate and you need a subscription

I only got three scans before needing to pay for a subscription. Wish I would have known that ahead of time. Did the free trial and kept going - scanned two different retinol products as a test (Paula’s choice and Beauty of Joseon) and it said neither had concerning ingredients. Deleted immediately, don’t trust it now

Response from developer

Hi, thanks for your feedback. We’ve checked this and want to clarify that MamaSkin does flag retinoid-containing products as high risk, including products with retinol, retinal and related vitamin A ingredients. The result described here does not match the product data we can verify. Some products from the same brand may not contain retinoids and can correctly appear as lower risk. If you believe a specific result is wrong, please email hello@mamaskin.app with screenshots, the exact product names, or ingredient lists so we can investigate directly. Product search remains free and can be used without subscribing, while scans are limited before subscription.

I would not make decisions based on this app

Wildly inaccurate information. Ingredients they are saying are safe are not. Insane.

Response from developer

Thanks for taking the time to leave feedback. MamaSkin’s ingredient assessments are based on established dermatological and medical references, and we take accuracy very seriously. That said, ingredient safety in pregnancy can vary depending on concentration, formulation, and individual medical advice. We would genuinely like to understand which product or ingredient concerned you so we can review it carefully and improve where needed. Please feel free to contact us directly at hello@mamaskin.app so we can look into this properly.
