Now only 7 articles allowed & told this for more than a week!
How am I supposed to read articles when the page constantly jumps down to ads, meaning I have to scroll back & try to find where I was in the article? If I can be bothered that is, & not just go elsewhere.
And now with latest update I can only read just 7 articles a week without paying. And the message that I’ve read my measly free articles for the week - has gone on longer than a week! Ridiculous - which developer can’t add up?? Talk about shooting yourself in the foot. I’m done. Deleted.

Articles constantly jumping down
How am I supposed to read articles when the page constantly jumps down to ads, meaning I have to scroll back & try to find where I was in the article? If I can be bothered that is, & not just go elsewhere.
Terrible
You can’t read an article without it endlessly jumping to the bottom of the text where the adverts are based.
Of course I understand the app has to have adverts, I’m not complaining about that but it’s so annoying to use when you keep having to scroll back up the page to what you were reading.

App Deleted
I’ve deleted this app since they started charging for “Premium” articles, like post-match player ratings, which was one of the main reasons for keeping the app. I can get all the MUFC news I need elsewhere for free.
Doesn’t work
This is normally a good app and I decided a while back to pay for a monthly subscription. Worked fine until recently when it now constantly crashes, doesn’t let you flip between the option tabs at the bottom and generally is unusable. Have obviously cancelled my subscription as I can’t use it.
Subscription model now
Was excellent. Unfortunately they now only give limited access since introducing paywall.

The app keeps crashing when scrolling down to read further, wonder if it happens to people who have the paid account?

Why limit articles?
I’m limited to 10 articles a week. But if I google the same article, I can see it free on the website. So limiting on the app seems pointless & is just an annoyance.
Not great
Being a United fan I can’t get enough news, opinion and speculation about the club. So when this app stopped being freely accessible I was disappointed that I wouldn’t use it again. Then after a week I thought £2.99 isn’t much to try it for a month thinking there must be lots of improvements that make it worth the money. Disappointingly apart from a fresh app look lots of the issues that were there before still remain. Firstly, it doesn’t cover as many stories as are freely available on the MEN Man Utd webpage and the website has all the stories covered by this app. Second, the links from the daily blog stories still don’t open, or open as blanked out pages with no text, so I still don’t have access to the full stories. Thirdly, I’m not sure where the great new features and exclusive features are?
I’m all for supporting the journalism but I can put up with scrolling past adverts such as found on Facebook or the website to do this.
I guess there is time for the app to improve but it would be a shame if there are no plans to match the article output of the website or sort out the broken links now that this app is no longer free.
Anyway let hope to a successful season coming up and new owners ASAP.

Once a great app
I’ve used this app for years and found it a very reliable source but to read articles now, they would like me to subscribe. Such a massive shame as all it has led me to do is delete the app and download a competitors one instead.

App has changed to paid subscription….in an age when there are hordes of United news elsewhere available for free. Bad mistake. Bye bye.

This used to be one of my go to Apps each day. One of the the regular sources of news on United. The latest update only grants 10 articles before requiring a subscription. Much as I enjoyed reading news feed, 5ere are so many sources that are still free and there’s no need to be bullied into paying. Sorry. App now deleted.

So we no longer have access to the Manchester Evening News articles about MU without a paid subscription? The website still has the same free news, but the app I have used for several years now has monthly costs. This is unfortunate.

Comment blocking
I have taken the time to write a thought out non-offensive comment to post on the MEN Manchester United board on 2/3 occassions now where the MEN has blocked my post. The post reads ‘Content Disabled’. The views I have posted have been my personal opinion as to a story being ran. The posts get blocked without reason and there is no apparent avenue, certainly via the app, to ask what it is that has caused by post to be blocked. No freedom of speech here then. That said there is no reason for me to read their dialogue if they don’t allow opinion on the message board. I’m closing my MEN account and deleting the app. I guess that’s me giving MEN the ‘content disabled’ response they deserve. Poor journalism MEN
