About

Manage Your Means turns the plan you already built into something you can act on during the day: what is due, what you have paid, and what you nearly bought. WHAT IT DOES ON YOUR PHONE What's due. A running view of the week ahead — the total, how many bills, and anything already past due. The home screen shows what is next; the Due Soon tab covers whatever range you ask for. Mark it paid. Confirm a bill the moment you pay it. The app records the amount, moves the balance behind it, and stops reminding you about that one. Bill reminders. A notification before a bill is due, at the lead time you choose. Reminders are worked out and scheduled on your device — nothing is registered with a push service, and no server is told what you are being reminded about. On Second Thought… A place to log a purchase while you are still deciding on it. Record what it was, what it would cost, and what you did — bought it, traded down to something cheaper, or walked away — and read the history back later. Calculators. An emergency fund target that starts from your own essential bills and what you already have set aside, compound interest, and a 50/30/20 split of your take-home pay. YOUR NUMBERS STAY YOURS No bank linking. Nothing connects to your bank and nothing asks for banking credentials. You type your own figures in, which means there are no banking credentials here to lose. Encrypted at rest. Amounts and descriptions are encrypted in the database, not merely access-controlled, so a stolen backup is not a readable one. No adverts, no trackers, no analytics. The app loads no third-party scripts and no advertising, and nothing you enter is sold or shared. Delete means delete. Closing your account from Settings removes your financial records rather than hiding them. WHAT YOU WILL NEED An account. It is free to create at manageyourmeans.com — there is no paid tier, no advertising and no upsell. You set up your income, bills, debts and goals on the website, and that is also where the budget planner, debt payoff comparison, retirement projections and reports live. This app is the part you carry with you: the bills side of that plan, plus the “On Second Thought…” journal. Manage Your Means is a work in progress, built and run by one developer. Some areas are still filling in, and the app marks those as you reach them rather than pretending otherwise. It is an information and planning tool, not financial advice.
