WHAT 3D JUMP TRACK NEEDS
Location set to Always, and Motion and Fitness. Always, because your phone is in a zipped pocket from takeoff to landing and the recording has to keep going with the screen off and the app closed. Motion, because altitude is read from the barometer. Recording only runs when you start it, or when your load is called if you have turned that on, and it stops by itself once you are back on the ground. It uses GPS while it runs, which uses battery for those few minutes.
3D JUMP TRACK IS NOT AN ALTIMETER
It records a jump and shows it to you afterwards. It is not a safety device and must never be used for altitude awareness or for deciding when to deploy. Use your altimeter, your AAD and your eyes.
