About
Mantiq is a quiet, disciplined school for your attention and memory. One short sitting a day, a handful of drills, and a rank you earn — not a game, not a stream of notifications, not a place that begs you to come back.
Mantiq (منطق) is the Arabic word for logic. The app trains the faculties a modern mind lets atrophy: holding things in your head, reasoning with numbers without reaching for a screen, knowing how sure you actually are, and noticing what is in front of you.
Each sitting runs four disciplines:
Memory. Hold a sequence — digits, a dealt hand of cards, a list of words, or a set of names and faces — then recall it exactly.
Calculation. Arithmetic, percentages, unit conversions, and order-of-magnitude estimates, worked in your head against a quiet timer.
Calibration. Say how sure you are, then find out whether your confidence is honest. Over time, a reliability curve shows you where you run overconfident.
Observation. Study a grid or a short passage, then answer from memory alone.
You advance through five ranks — Novice, Reckoner, Analyst, Synthesist, Mantiq — by passing timed trials, attemptable once a day. Each drill has its own difficulty tiers that deepen as you improve, and the app teaches the methods behind the work: memory techniques, mental-math anchors, reference-class thinking.
The app tells you plainly how you did. When you do well, it says so. When you fail a trial, it says that too, and tells you when you can try again. After every sitting, a debrief walks through each answer and how to reach it.
What Mantiq will never do:
No streaks that punish you. No confetti. No mascots. No badges raining down. No re-engagement nudges. One optional daily reminder, off by default, and nothing else.
Your data never leaves your phone. No accounts, no sign-up, no analytics that follow you. Everything you do stays on the device.
One-time purchase, no subscriptions, no ads. Your first sitting is free; a single purchase then unlocks daily training and rank advancement for good.
Built for people who feel their focus thinning and want a serious, respectful tool to rebuild it.

What's New in Mantiq
1.0.1
September 16, 2026
Home now shows what the trial is waiting on — available, the tier still required, or already attempted today — instead of counting sittings past the threshold. Stepping a discipline down now asks twice, and names what it costs before it takes it.
