About

Mantralaya is a chanting companion for daily japa practice. It carries 297 mantras with audio, keeps count across every sitting, and remembers where you left off. HEAR EVERY MANTRA All 297 mantras include an audio recording. Listen before you chant, or play along while you count — useful for Sanskrit you have read but never heard spoken aloud. A COUNTER BUILT FOR REAL PRACTICE Tap anywhere in the counting area to advance. Three counts run at once: - Session — the sitting you are in now - Today — resets each day - Total — your lifetime count toward a long sankalpa Set your own target for each, or begin from the recommended one. Mantralaya estimates the days remaining to finish a total target at your current pace, so a 125,000 sankalpa becomes a date rather than a vague intention. Get a notification the moment a target is reached — enable it per target, or turn it off entirely. MANTRAS FROM THIRTEEN TRADITIONS Hinduism (247), Sikhism (10), Jainism (10), Buddhism (10), Islam (5), Christianity (5), Judaism (3), Radha Soami (2), Dera Sacha Sauda (2), Baháʼí Faith (2) and Zoroastrianism (1). Each mantra carries its text, the deity or figure it addresses, and its traditional purpose — so you know what you are chanting and why. YOUR OWN MANTRAS Add any mantra that is not in the collection, with your own text and targets, and count it the same way. BUILT AROUND DAILY PRACTICE - Save the mantras you are working with to a Selected list - Reminders at the times you actually sit - Chanting history, so you can see the practice accumulating - Search across all 297 by name, text or tradition - Reset a session, a day, or start a mantra over — your history is kept IN HINDI AND ENGLISH Every screen and every mantra is available in both. Switch whenever you like. WORKS ENTIRELY OFFLINE There is no account, no sign-in, and no server. Your counts and history live on your device and go nowhere else. Chant on a flight, in a temple with no signal, or anywhere at all. Mantralaya is free and supported by a single banner advertisement.
