You have to pay a subscription to update the MPEP version or use the software with a current subscription for more than six days.

Excellent app, very good customer support

I’m studying for the patent bar. This app is extremely useful for that purpose. I upgraded to have the latest version. The customer service is great and knowledgeable.

Used to be free!

Don't be fooled by the fact that it's "free". It isn't. Once downloaded, it requires an annual subscription of $19 to get access to all the chapters of mpep.
It used to be free not long ago.

Hi Iggs82, thanks for your review. The paid version is optional. You don't need to subscribe because we have a free version for old content. But if you want to get continuous update you need to subscribe for $19/year. Did you accidentally subscribe? Please email me at support@lawstack.com so we can fix it.

Went from paid to subscription, purchase is no longer valid

Was a Paid app but went to subscription. Now I can't access content after paying for it :-(

About to delete this app

App now requires an exorbitant subscription to access publicly available MPEP information. Shameless attempt at a money grab. I am deleting this app now.

I have been happily using this app for years, but all of a sudden I need a subscription in order to use it at all. I want my content back. In the meantime this is a complete ripoff.

Bait and Switch

I've had this app since 2013 and loved it. Suddenly they require a subscription for the MPEP content, which is available for free online. I'm very dissapointed.

Purchased the App, but now they want more

I purchased this App paying much more than average price for Apps. Now the company has switched to subscription mode asking for same price for 3 months for the content that is free online. They have now denied access to my purchased App. All they do is provide free content, and for that they are trying to charge a ridiculous amount. Extremely greedy!

Don't get this app!

After originally buying this app a few years ago for more than $10 dollars, this company switched to an ongoing subscription for about the same price every year (!) and NOT just for updates. I can no longer access the app without activating the subscription. No thanks. Why does Apple allow extortion?

Great, has 35 USC ### and Post-AIA MPEP

Great search, simple design, great for patent bar prep and work.

Wish it also included a Pre-AIA MPEP version of the statutes and MPEP chapters that changed. Or just everything. I'd gladly buy that. Maybe some 37 CFR ### sections too...

Outdated & Doesn't Work

Last version is rev 13 of MPEP but PTO now on Rev. 14. Can't access any content because I haven't "purchased a subscription" although there is no option to purchase. Don't waste your iPad space on this POS.

It's ok, so long as you don't want to highlight anything.

I enjoyed using this app at first: much easier for reading than managing PDF files. However, after highlighting a bunch of text, the app now crashes on startup, even after force quitting and restarting my iPad Mini. Now I have to go back to a PDF file and re-highlight everything all over again. Just deleted this app from my device.

Ads distracting

Just deleted it. The ads jump all over screen and very annoying. Purchased the paid version by their competitor which has no ads.

Great for MPEP search

This is great for accessing MPEP while studying for the patent bar. It does not include appendices, and therefore does not contain CFM or section 35. This is a disappointment.

Great for Bar Prep

Wonderful resource as it gives you a free MPEP version that is fully searchable. Given that I may have to search across several areas to understand the question and answer choices for a single question, it's much easier to use than the USPTO version where I need to know what chapter to search in.
