Truly great app

This is one of the best apps I’ve ever used. It was easy to navigate and performed flawlessly. My group is going to put on an event next year, and if we can figure out how to use it, lol, we will incorporated into one of our stages. We also will have a decent budget and are definitely going to compensate the designer for his efforts.

Opens up a whole world of satisfying outdoors activity

What a great app. Based on a single outing, I wish we’d had it when I was a (potentially!) competitive orienteerer. This app allows you to walk/run any of a range of permanent orienteering courses, in my case around Canberra. There are no flags at control points but the app accurately detects when you are at a control point and ‘punches’ your card. Instead of the joy of seeing a red and white flag just where you hoped it would be, there is a notification ping which is almost as good. When finished you have your track recorded on the O map so you can analyse your run and learn from mistakes.

A fantastic resource for people who want a low stress, always available, orienteering practice or to walk a course at leisure in the partial infirmity of older age. I understand it works with regular organised events as well, where it offers your post-run track display for analysis, including timing splits. I guess most current orienteerers use it this way.
