There was a time why MAPS.ME lead the way and unfortunately it’s time to say goodbye! You’ve lost all my data, saved routes and destinations. Things that I thought would be safe but as always, technology lets you down and there’s no recourse!

I fell in love with Maps.me when it, when no others could, navigated me out of a tangle of old forest roads, some unpaved, in the Cascade Mountains of Oregon

Great for China
Even with an eSIM and VPN Google Maps isn’t very accurate as it relies on satellite imagery (I’m assuming) and is not great. Maps.me was quick to download and while not as sharp meter for meter at all times (compared to Google Maps or Apple Maps in Australia) it got us everywhere we needed to go painlessly.

Formal Complaint Regarding MAPS.ME’s Misrepresentation of Georgia’s Territorial Integrity
MAPS.ME is one of the most misleading and irresponsible mapping applications I have ever seen. It is deeply shameful that your application presents Abkhazia and the Tskhinvali/South Ossetia regions as separate from Georgia, despite Georgia’s internationally recognized territorial integrity.
The overwhelming majority of the international community recognizes these territories as part of Georgia. A mapping application should reflect internationally recognized borders and provide accurate, responsible information — not create or reinforce politically misleading representations.
It is extremely disappointing and unacceptable that an application used by millions of people can present such a sensitive territorial issue in this way. Maps are not just lines on a screen; they influence how people understand countries, borders, and reality.
I strongly urge MAPS.ME to review this representation and correct it in accordance with internationally recognized borders. Otherwise, I will consider submitting a formal complaint regarding the misleading information presented by your application.
This is not only a technical mistake — it is a matter of accuracy, responsibility, and respect for international law.

This offline map is the best. I hike in Bulgaria, Canada, and UK , and some other Europe. This is the best. We lost our way in Bulgaria, Seven Rila lakes, buts still made our way back because of this map. Thank you ! But it’s way expensive now 💦😭

Difficult to add second or vacation home
I could not find a way to add a vacation home to the maps.
Melhor app de mapas off-line que já usei.
App muito completo, fácil de usar se tem como escolher quais mapas quer baixar, e funciona muito bem nos dois modos quanto online e off-line sempre muito preciso nas localizações
