About

One passage a day from Marcus Aurelius, Seneca or Epictetus, on your Lock Screen and Home Screen. Each one is quoted word for word from a classic translation and cited to its book and section, so you never share a line its author never wrote. THE DAY'S PASSAGE - A new passage every day, numbered by the day of the year, from Nº 1 to Nº 365 - Cited the way scholars cite it: Meditations · IV, 3 - 764 passages from the Meditations, the Enchiridion, and Seneca's letters and essays, in the translations of George Long, Aubrey Stewart and Richard M. Gummere - A reminder at the hour you choose, with the passage itself in the notification WIDGETS - Home Screen in small, medium and large. The medium and large have a heart to save the passage and a button for the next one, right on the widget - Lock Screen: the passage under the clock, or one line above it - Keep the day's passage all day, or get a new one every hour, two, four or six hours - Year: every day of the year as a dot, and how much of it has gone - Memento Mori: the days, weeks and months you may have left, counted from your birth date FOR HOW YOU FEEL - Right now: angry, anxious, afraid, hurt, grieving, putting something off. Tap one and read a passage for it - 17 topics, from anger and grief to friendship and what is up to us. Tick a few and your widget draws from them STONE OR PAINTING - Five marbles, each with its own type: white Carrara, black Nero, Travertine, green Verde and a broken Fragment. Or Auto: white by day, black at night - 40 landscape paintings from The Met's Open Access collection, by Claude Lorrain, Caspar David Friedrich, Gustave Courbet and others, behind the passage, with as much stone over them as you like COLLECT THE YEAR - Open the app and the day's passage joins your collection, one piece a day - A missed day is just an empty tile, with no streak to lose. Open it any time to read what you missed - Save the passages you want to come back to SHARE - Turn any passage into an image for Stories, Reels, posts or X: 9:16, 4:5, 1:1 or 16:9 - Share your year so far as a single image THREE LANGUAGES - English, Spanish and Vietnamese, for the app and for the passages, chosen separately - Spanish passages come from classic Spanish translations; the Vietnamese is Marble's own PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account, no ads, no tracking. Your collection and settings stay on your iPhone and sync between your devices through your own iCloud.
