Mareo: Pre-Trip Sound Minute

Mareo is a friendly one minute sound ritual for before you travel. Put your headphones on, settle in somewhere safe, and tap Start. Mareo plays a steady 100 Hz tone for 60 seconds while a quiet sun keeps you company. You don't need to watch the screen. When the minute is up, you're ready to go. WHY MAREO • Clear headphone setup. Mareo checks which audio output is active and won't play through the iPhone speaker, AirPlay, or car audio. • Stop means stop. One tap ends the sound right away, with no confirmation. • A calm, still screen. No animations, no pulsing, no streaks or badges. • Private trip notes. After a journey, note how it felt. Filter by journey type and share your notes as text or a spreadsheet. • Travel reminders. Pick a date and time and Mareo sends a notification. It never starts the sound by itself. • Quick access. Siri, Spotlight, Shortcuts, and a Control Center button open setup in one step. • Works offline from the first launch, in English and Spanish. THE RESEARCH, HONESTLY Mareo is inspired by a 2025 study in which adults heard a 100 Hz tone for one minute, through speaker systems with a measured sound level, before short motion tests. Phones and headphones can't reproduce or measure that sound level. Mareo is a research inspired sound experience. It has not been shown to prevent motion sickness, and it isn't a treatment or a substitute for medical care. Use Mareo before travel, never while driving. Start at a low, comfortable volume, and stop if the sound causes discomfort, ringing, or dizziness. If you have a hearing or balance condition, ask a professional first. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account, no ads, no analytics. Mareo doesn't use your location, microphone, or Health data. Your history stays on your iPhone, and you can delete it at any time. Mareo is free. If you enjoy it, you can leave an optional tip in About. Tips don't unlock anything.
