I downloaded this app with hope. However, it is outdated and green is the last color I want to see when staying away from “green”. The app needs to be updated. Try base44?
Unuseable
Not at all compatible with VoiceOver. There’s no way I can access any content. If you make it voiceover friendly, I will change it to five stars, but so far it’s impossible to use. You can’t even click the eye accept button button in the bottom without turning voiceover off, you can’t read any of the content with voiceover.

Improving one day at a time
This new update is much better. Meetings and resources are easy to access, with clear and clean functionality. Helping cannabis and marijuana addicts access a program that really does work.
Cannot read literature
I just upgraded to the iPhone 16 and it automatically installed iOS 26 upon setting up. Idk if that is why I am having issues or not, but I cannot read the literature. The last few lines at the bottom of each page are cut off regardless of font size. Sometimes when I change the font size, the text disappears altogether. Even aside from this issue, I'm personally not a fan of the "turn the page" format. The scrolling format was a lot better and easier. I know how much work went into making this app and I really appreciate everyone's service. I am sure once these issues are fixed it'll be a wonderful app.

Recent Update Reset Sobriety Counter…
App has always been clunky and awkward. Latest major update reset the sobriety date, more QA is needed before releasing unnecessary UI updates.
Privacy Flail
Trust is the biggest problem with the MA official app. The app runs Google Analytics, which directly compromises MA’s mission by exposing members’ activity to the same billion-dollar marijuana marketing industry we’re trying to recover from.
Indispensable for Recovery
I’ve been a fellow in Marijuana Anonymous for over 13 years. MA is the only program that worked for me to lose the obsession to use. It is based on the 12 Steps of Recovery of AA but specifically modified to help free those of us in the insidious grip of marijuana in any of its forms. The app contains all the essential literature of MA which I use when reading at meetings. It’s my go to reference on the go for inspiration and sharing with others. I love the sobriety counter as a reminder of the better life I found and that I only need to do it one day at a time. Yes it hasn’t been updated in years and the meeting finder is broken but a new version has been in the works for a year and hopefully completed soon. This original MA app was created voluntarily and selflessly by a single member at their own expense and toil to help the marijuana addict that still suffers achieve the same freedom they have. So be patient as the original author has returned to work in collaboration with the current volunteers of the Internet Committee to create the new app.

Changed my life
I loved this app when I first starting using it 7 years ago and still do to this day. It’s a blessing and I’m extremely grateful for it. I especially appreciate that it doesn’t cost anything.
Very helpful for finding meetings
One of the best features is the meeting search. Due to the pandemic, most in-person meetings are now online. The greatest benefit is that on any given day, if you expand your location search far enough, you can find a meeting pretty much any day of the week, most times. Even on a slower day like Sunday.
You get to meet great people who are in recovery just like many of us.
For where I live, 100 mile radius gives me just enough meetings, but that will depend on where you live.

Okay so it hasn’t been updated in years, but what a great resource. Can’t wait to have it updated. Thanks goes to all the contributors and originators of this app.

Great information about marijuana addiction
Great information about marijuana addiction, informational pamphlets, Life with Hope book and workbook. Nice sobriety date calculator to track sobriety. The app’s meeting finder is currently broken due to a database issue but worldwide MA meetings can be found on the MAWS website.

While I understand the various “Anonymous” programs have helped a lot of people, it is irresponsible. This is not a research based approach. How does one “Let go let god” if they don’t believe in the fairy in the sky?
