Wow, this is great

I like it, lots of good reviews

Great App but the ads

I really like this app as a non-musician just for playing around. However, Iโ€™d give up to $5 and 5 stars for a paid version that was ad free. Donโ€™t want ads, donโ€™t want subs, just a one time purchase to use your software. Hate the ad placement where it is easily tripped on when trying to close the app. I suppose that is typical for apps with ads. Also, subtracted one star for no disclosure about ads in the description.

FAQ

What instruments does this app simulate?

This app simulates four percussion instruments: the marimba, xylophone, vibraphone, and glockenspiel. Each instrument is presented with details about its construction and how it produces sound.

What are the key features of this app?

The app allows users to explore the sounds of these percussion instruments, learn about their unique characteristics, and understand their various musical applications in different genres and ensembles.

Is this app free to use?

Yes, the app is free to use. However, it does display advertisements as part of its monetization model.

What is the difference between a marimba and a xylophone?

The primary difference lies in the material of the bars and the resulting sound. Marimba bars are typically made of wood and produce a more resonant, lower-pitched sound, while xylophone bars are also wooden but generally produce a brighter, higher-pitched tone.

How is the vibraphone different from other mallet instruments?

The vibraphone features metal bars and a unique mechanism with motor-driven butterfly valves in resonator tubes. These valves create a tremolo or vibrato effect, and the instrument also includes a sustain pedal similar to a piano.
