Marine Weather is built for planning trips on Finnish and Baltic waters — from a quick harbour outing to a longer coastal passage. Open the map, pick a spot (or use your location), and compare wind forecasts from MET Norway, SMHI, and FMI in one place. No account needed for the basics: the map, storm radar, lightning where data is available, and short marine weather summaries for the area around your map centre. Switch between m/s and knots if that’s how you think about wind. The app is designed for iPad in landscape. Charts and forecasts sit side by side so you can actually read them on deck or at the chart table. Premium unlocks the tools we use when planning a real route: draw a route on the map, see weather along the way, check a 12-day wind outlook, and follow AIS traffic from Fintraffic Digitraffic on the map. The Track tab lets you watch specific vessels. In harbour, you can download an offline pack for a route — map tiles and weather along the track — for when the signal drops offshore. Routes export as GPX or PDF. You can buy once or subscribe monthly; prices are shown in the app before you confirm. A short trial lets you try route features before you decide. A few things worth saying plainly. This is a planning app. Open forecasts and community maps are not official nautical charts, and they do not replace AIS, rules, or your own judgement. Always use proper charts and official sources for navigation. We only use location to centre the map and fetch public weather for that point. We don’t run a login service — your data stays on your device in the usual Apple way.
