Worse and worse
Used to be a great app but with every update more features disappear behind the premium tier. Now looking for an alternative app. Update: now using vessel finder which has everything I want from this app. Time to delete Marine Traffic.

What was once an app is now next to useless , I even tried pay for the pro version but still useless , extremely disappointed , hope that someone does another app that emulates the origional marine traffic and I’ll gladly pay

Not a good update
Was fine, now sucks. I’m not going to get into why this update is junk.
The update is HORRID
If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it! Please! The “new” maps are horrid. The international lines are so thick that entire ship icons are hidden behind them unless you zoom in as far as it goes and sometimes they are still barely visible. This line is three times as thick as the letters of the ship names in a hard to read font color. The waterway shorelines look like a child erased a real map and filled in with crayons, markers, and finger paints the colors, textures and lines are so inconsistent. We don’t need Google Maps here, just land with city and town markers and coastal landmarks. I almost cry every time I open this new version (the major changes one before this update). Visuals are NOT better. Also, the 24 hour “past track” used to allow you to click a point on that path to see what time they were at any point on their past track (what time did American Soirit sail under the Blue Water bridges?” so you could use this time stamp to rewind a ship camera feed (such as the streamtime live cams) on YouTube to see them sail through areas where this is recorded. The path line now is useless. We can see where they started and where they’re going with text data. A scribbled line means nothing really.
The map choice that is solid gray and white is blinding and useless. In my opinion, the new version is so far inferior to the previous version it can’t be recorded. I’m not kidding. I’m in the Great Lakes region with the lakes and adjoining rivers where knowing what ships and where (and when) they’ll be here is so important to get out there to see them. I have screenshots of everything I’ve detailed if the developers are interested enough to see the before and after. This is the ONLY app I’ve ever paid for and I honestly think I’m ready to jump ship and look for other apps. Believe it or not, I’m not a complainer and I usually don’t leave reviews, good or bad, but I can’t not say what I said a moment longer. Don’t mess with my ships!!! Thank you for hearing this feedback. Please revert!! The old version was amazing.

Poor since update
I was a fan and paid a subscription, but the version since it changed hands is extremely poor.

Why update it when it was perfect before , extremely hard to navigate and have to basically upgrade to do anything , developers have ruined and extremely useful app , im sure everyone feels the same when i say put it back to the way it was 2-3 updates ago !

World’s worst tracking app. Of your favorite thing is logging in and completely having to rebuild you fleet everyday this is the prefect app for you

Lost features that we paid for previously!!
Paid a one time price for this app years ago…now the current version took away vessel information, like length, width, etc. To get these back, they want 5 bucks per month! I DON’T THINK SO! The new map version stinks as well. Much harder to read than the prior version.
Avoid until the developer fixes it, used to be fantastic
Don’t bother getting until the developers fixes the bugs. Constantly freezes since the last update and is harder to use. Please take it back to how it was before the last update because that worked fantastic and I would recommend it often, now I just recommend people to avoid it. Every day I use it less and less because it freezes nearly every time. Developers please read the comments here, notice the repeating theme…frustrated users who until recently enjoyed using your app, which helps often for marine safety.

Still bad
They still haven't added a user defined default map to watch marine traffic for an area and always have it with a click (see plane finder app). You have to recreate it if you click on a ship or move the map. The choices of maps sucks. They don't have the user choices as the old version, one important one is excluding ships anchored or docked. They're adding tools for see ships but not improving the user interface. I rarely use it anymore. It's terrible!

This app was great, now it’s slow to load, not intuitive to navigate. Please bring back the early version!

Ive just logged into my app for the first time in months.. what the hell has happened.. its awful.. think ill delete my account and find another more usable app
Ruined a great app
Still haven’t acted on all your customer’s feedback. No replies to comments. Really poor business behaviour. Satellite background is really poor. FlightRadar24 shows you what it should look like. Constantly logging me out. For goodness sake act on your customers feedback!!!!
Updated site / useless. Don’t waste your money!
Okay. So I finally buckled (my hubby loves to watch ships) and have bought into your site. However, I don’t k ow if I a, missing something but on my site, sea is light grey and land is a slightly darker grey. I find it so difficult to see at a glance without zooming out to the entire country which is sea and which is land. Is there a way to differentiate I.e. to change the colour and e.g. make the sea blue so I know which is which? It is very confusing.
Two days later. I’m still seeing the Black Marlin at anchor off Melbourne. How funny. I can see it at anchor from my home deck in Hobart. Funny how your opposition App shows its current location - and it cost me nothing!

Awful Changes
Kpler has absolutely destroyed this app. It use to be simple, easy to use, easy to interface with and reliable. Now it is impossible to log in to my correct account, impossible to delete old accounts, difficult to navigate and there is no customer support. I’m probably going to use different marine tracking apps from now on.

A once great App ruined
This used to be a great informative App.
It is now almost useless.
Very inconsistent vessel presentation when changing magnification.
This is only one of a load of problems.
