Pointless upgrade
This used to be a really good App. Now deleted
Not what it used to be
Waited a long time to write this since new update. Keeps logging me out, new update sucks, new ship past track lines sucks. Actually sucks. Wish they kept the old one. Finding a new app as we speak.
What Happened?
The old app worked good. The new one lags so bad it’s unusable. I’m considering my options.

What happened?
The app used to be amazing with the old interface, easy to track and find ships you were interested in, now everything is behind a pay wall, and ads.

Paid for Pro stuck with only the FREE 5 ships
I choose the PRO version, but am stuck in the free version. I can’t add more than 5 ships. For several days , I could not add a third fleet. Now, I found a way to add a fleet name, but cannot add any ships, since I have 2 ships in one fleet and three in the second fleet. I cannot track the ships the seven days. The keeps telling me to sign up when I login, then states may account will renew in May 2027. I could not find a way to contact the developer team, as someone else mentioned, to see they could connect my account to the PRO version. I have tried every month or so, to see if it would finally connect. No such luck.

Do use not worth it
Wast of money as it doesn’t let you see boats name and the time is sometimes delayed by 24 hrs or said out of range and boats are net to us

App Renewal
Used Apple to renew through 2027 but the app then asked for account email and password which have been lost. Looking for a way to reconnect

I waited & hoped but …
I have had this App for 10 years now. Loved it. Used it daily to see ships passing by my window in Sidney BC, and in the Marina, as well as seeing cruise ships around the world. Sadly the big update you did early this year wiped out everything I loved. The colourful maps are now depressingly bland. The screen jumps when I try to enlarge to see the names of vessels … I could go on & on.
This morning I actually considered paying to upgrade, but reading the reviews of people who have, and considering how much space the App takes up, 220 MB, I have decide to delete you.
If & when you manage to bring the App back to what it was prior to this year, I hope you’ll be able to notify me. I hope the person who created this new version of a formerly great App gets fired.

Updated to the point of uselessness
I’ve used and liked this app for several years.
Today I tried to use the app and it seems like I need to have the pro app for things I was able to do in the past on the free app.
I can’t figure out what happened to my fleet. Can I track a boat in the free app? I can’t figure out how.

Once great, now ruined
I’ve used MarineTraffic for years and absolutely loved it. I used to recommend it to other Mariners. After the latest update and basic functions being put behind a paywall, it’s not worth it. Great job driving away the professional user base!

Every time I open the app. I have to log in again.
No wonder you don’t have notifications anymore, as no one would ever get them.
This used to be my GoTo ship tracking app but recently, it has gotten much worse and still the refresh rate is 9 minutes. No good if you’re tracking a high-speed SAR vessel.
Here’s a question for you. A vessel I am tracking is currently underway, travelling at 17.2kn. Yet your tracker shows; last updated 307days ago. How can that be?
I have Mobile Pro Plan but my renewal subscription is now cancelled, until you rectify these problems.
But as all your other replies to other reviews. I will probably get the copied and pasted…
The new subscription model reflects the broader capabilities blah blah.

Change is never good
This used to be an excellent app which I use regularly, it’s now useless! Very sad!!!
From good to bad
This site use to have excellent tracking and data on the vessels some of which I spent hour updating and it is all gone and tracking is good to poor
No access to paid plan any more
New app is very difficult to use. Also it keeps saying my subscription has now moved to Mobile Pro, but then only shows me on the free plan!! I am cancelling my subscription renewal
