Worth the price!
While it may seem expensive, this is a fantastic way to scout/preview images. It keeps getting better thru great updates and enhancements. Whether for film or digital, highly recommended.

Amazing, work horse app
I’ve used this app for years now and love it. So many features were framed using this app!
Nearly Perfect
The only wish I would have: Color filter simulation for the B&W view. Maybe as a separate Fn button, or by long hold of the BW button (this would interfere with the current functionality), or let the menu always appear on tap, or on double tap.
And maybe B&W film simulations (or custom color sensitivity settings), but I have to admit that this might be a bit complicated.
But the app is already the perfect tool for large format photography, so 5 stars are a must.

I have used this app for years scouting and planning photo shoots. Can also attest to the great product support. If you’re shooting film or medium format it’s a must have. Love how you can customise for just about anything including Xpan format. Simply the best. Highly recommend

I've used this app for 8 years and it has always proven invaluable. I have configured dozens of different camera and lens combinations over the years, and this level of flexibility is amazing if you're the kind of person serious enough to want to use a viewfinder in the first place. And every few months, the app gets a big update that makes it even more useful.

Simply Invaluable!
This a a must for any serious photographer. It does everything it claims and more. When I’m in the field, I use it many times per day. In addition to previsulization, it functions as a notebook for scouting potential shots. The gps function enables return to the precise location. I always use it to locate and set my initial tripod position.
The map function could be enhanced with the addition of a direction indicator. Easier access to the time/date data would also be an improvement.

A highly customizable app that helps me select equipment and lenses before setting up the camera. Also useful when scouting locations to preplan shots.
Z-Cam E2-F6 is missing
This app is good but unfortunately don’t have any Z-cam flagship in its virtual camera setting. I hope they add this soon. Many filmmakers are using this cinema camera now.

You can add any camera, even if it's not in the app's database, using either "generic" equipment or the "custom camera" feature. Using generic equipment is described on pages 41-42, and creating custom cameras is discussed on pages 42-45 of the Viewfinder Handbook (free download from https://www.artistsviewfinder.com/handbook/). But of course your request to add these cameras is noted.
Indispensable tool
Absolutely amazing way to set up shots. I have multiple cameras loaded with all their respective lenses. One quick location picture and I can see all the possible framings.
Saves time and saves film
I shoot several formats of film with a variety of equipment and often the setup time is a consideration. I have relied on this app to help me check the composition With various lenses in these formats for years and it has saved me a lot of time and even wasted film. In regards to the latter, if I were to go through the motions of setting up something like my 8x10 view camera, I might be inclined to expose a couple of sheets of film even though the image may not be as refined as I want. By using this app, I can frame, capture and study the composition well before ever exposing the film.
