About

Turn your PDFs, lecture slides and notes into flashcards with AI. MarkToCard is a PDF to flashcard maker for students who want cards as good as hand-written ones, ten times faster. Most AI flashcard generators take a whole PDF and hand you hundreds of cards. MarkToCard starts from what you marked: highlight the important lines or pick the pages, and the AI writes short, one-idea cards from those parts only. You swipe through them (keep, edit or delete), and only the cards you keep go into your study queue. HOW IT WORKS • Add a file: PDF, Word (.docx), PowerPoint (.pptx), text, or photos of your notes. Share straight from WhatsApp, Files or your browser. • Mark: highlighter marks already in your PDF are found for you (Flexcil, Foxit, iPad, GoodNotes, Apple Notes, Word and PowerPoint highlights, photos of highlighted paper), or pick pages, or draw a box around a section • Generate: short question-and-answer and fill-in-the-blank cards, each linked to its source page and sentence • Check: a second look compares every card with its page before you see it; vague, duplicate and page-pointing cards are filtered out • Review: swipe right to keep, left to delete, or edit • Study: spaced repetition (FSRS or SM-2) brings each card back just before you would forget it CARD MODES • Quality: cards only from the pages or highlights you choose • Whole file: every page, split into small chunks so nothing in the middle is skipped • Highlighter, box and margin notes: your own marks and handwritten notes become cards • Tables become one card per cell; long lists become one card per item MADE FOR EXAMS • Past exam papers: printed questions become cards, and answers come only from the answer key (printed key, asterisks, key table or results sheet). MarkToCard does not guess. • Every answer choice that is a term becomes its own card, filled from your own lecture notes, page by page • Every card shows the lecture lines it came from, so you can check it against your notes • Great for medicine, nursing, pharmacy, law, biology, anatomy and any exam with lots to memorize LIBRARY • Keep lecture files in folders and search inside them, scanned pages and photos included (text recognition runs on your device) • Search forgives OCR mix-ups (rn / m, 0 / O) and finds names in their other spellings • Optional: read handwritten notes with your AI key so they can be searched too STUDY YOUR WAY • Read cards aloud, daily study reminder, dark mode (graphite or pure black) • Print cards to A3, A4, A5 or Letter PDF, double-sided • Import and export Anki decks (.apkg), export text, back up your decks to a file YOUR KEY, YOUR DATA MarkToCard uses your own AI key. A free Google Gemini key works, and the app shows you how to get one in a minute. OpenAI, Anthropic (Claude), DeepSeek, Groq, Mistral, xAI, OpenRouter and OpenAI-compatible endpoints (Ollama, LM Studio) work too. • No account, no ads, no analytics, no subscription • Your decks and files stay on your device • Only the pages you generate from are sent, and only to the AI provider you picked Google's free Gemini tier has daily limits, and Google may use content sent with a free key to improve its models. When a limit stops a file, finished cards are kept; tap Continue later to finish the rest. Languages: English, Türkçe, Deutsch, Español, Français, Italiano, Português.
