Are you an aspiring artist? Do you struggle with mixing colors? Masstone turns a color into a paint mixing recipe: which tubes, and how much, from the paints you already own. Give it the color you're after (pick it out of a reference photograph, or just select it from a color picker) and it will give you a recipe you can act on (ex: 2 parts Titanium White, 1 part Ultramarine Blue, 1 part Alizarin Crimson) The hard part was never seeing the color. It's knowing which colors to mix on the palette to get there. REAL COLOR MIXING, NOT RGB AVERAGING Screen color is additive; paint is subtractive. Blend blue and yellow as pixels and you get grey. Masstone never averages RGB. Every mix runs through spectral reflectance curves, so blue and yellow make green, as they do on your palette. BUILT AROUND YOUR PAINT BOX - Set which tubes you own. IMPORTANT NOTE This is a mixing aid for painters, not a laboratory instrument. Lighting, camera white balance and your own brand of paint all change the outcome.
