Just like the classic boardgames. OK level of ads.
Just like the boardgame I played as a kid. An acceptable number of ads. Just what I wanted. I've tried other code-breaker-type games that have frustrating because of the number of ads and/or the confusing differences in game play. One app was set up so that I couldn't look at the results after a round ended; it went straight to an ad. So, I couldn't even figure out how the rules varied.

Relaxing game. Doesn’t try to spam you with ads like other games.
Best features
It’s built without distractions like blinking things and background music. I’ve tried other apps for this game but they made it difficult to think. At least for me. I would like be able to customize pegs colors and/or the overall look, but that’s minor.

I have enjoyed mastermind since I bought it for my daughter 40+ years ago. It teaches logic and patience - great!

I went to game center to play with my mom but there were no things that say to play and i interacted with pretty much everything.

…and I have for some years now; it is exciting every time (maybe that says more about me than it does about the game). I *do* wish that the game could track percentages of games won by numbers of guesses; that would be a better indicator of skill, as solving with one row indicates only luck, not skill. I am *not* able to activate the ACHIEVEMENTS section; each achievement is locked. If there’s something I’m missing and anyone can point me in the right direction, I’d appreciate it.
Adding to my review…. Still not able to activate the ACHIEVEMENTS section; now STATISTICS no longer functions. There is no way to contact the developer. Revising from five stars (because I *really* like the game) to four stars, due to the issues listed above.

I tried many today and this is the best by far. I saw an old review but you can now
see how you played and learn from it. You can also change your pegs before confirming and put down double colour pegs - some versions won’t let you!! Excellent game just like the original x

Incorrect clues
I wanted to like this game as it is well presented and easy to place the pegs, unlike other Mastermind clones.
However, in one game I quickly discovered the computer's code consisted of three oranges and one blue but it had placed 2 black indicator pegs and 2 white indicator pegs. How on earth can you have two correct colours in the right place and two correct colours in the wrong place, when there are three pegs of the same colour in the code? That's impossible.

The developer needs to update this app to work with the latest IOS for iPad or remove the app.
Doesn’t work on iOS 17.4
I liked the reviews and decided to try it, but it will not run on my iPad Air 5th Gen. I have the latest iOS version. Looking at the app version history, it looks like they stopped updating it several years ago. So I guess I need to try a different app.

This game is great to do in your free time. Just be aware that it is only one player. This is now my go to game

Achievements?
Great game but what is wrong with the functioning of the ‘Achievements’? I’ve earned 20 hints which means I must have won 200 games but not gained 1 achievement! Links to Facebook and twitter are not working. I’ve made the financial contribution so what’s the problem?

The achievements board doesn’t work and can’t connect to Facebook or Twitter

This is a great app. The only thing missing is that there is no option for landscape mode. Pity, otherwise it rates a 5.
My favorite game
This is a nice app. Works with Apple Game Center to save your stats, and it doesn't have a lot of obnoxious ads.
