OMG No!
I wish I had read the review first. I would never guess someone with me granularity 1/4 inch increments. Yes almost feel violated except that it was my stupidity for not checking the reviews. I wish there was a refund system or something.
Useless
It could be a very good app,but in its current version the smallest change of the mat and the window size is in 1/4 inch steps!Until it can be adjusted by 1/16 inch precision it is pretty useless. And I am not even talking about making uneven size mats or double mats etc.I hope the people behind the app can improve it as it surely could be a very useful tool.

Don't bother!
Gave it one star, because -5 wasn't available. Deleted app immediately. Developer responded with a quote that was self serving to him.
Doesn't do all the math
Input the mat size and the image size to calculate mat borders.
But if you want the mat to slightly overlap the photo - let's say by 1/8 inch (and you'll almost always want that), you'll have to subtract that overlap from your picture size and input THAT number.
So, for an 8x10 photo, you'd need to enter 7 3/4 x 9 3/4. Shouldn't the calculator do that?

Very basic and useful, a few upgrades away from 5-stars
Simple interface and output but extremely basic. The output can be confusing simply because the image used to illustrate the output does not adjust to the dimensions entered, for example if you're framing a landscape the output image will always have a portrait appearance not representative of your input. Other than that and the reversal of length and width without documenting which is which on the input screen this is a handy and cheap tool for the do it yourselfer.

Simple but not very useful.
This is a very, very basic mat cutter. You enter the size of your photo or picture and the size of your mat and it will calculate the dimensions that you should set your mat cutter to. So far, so good.
But:
- it only works in inches; there is no metric option
- it only has resolution down to 1/8". 1/16" isn't possible (I don't know about you but all my images aren't uniform sizes, which is why I bought a mat cutter calculator)
- the sample photo is a fixed size, so when you calculate the mat size there is no visual representation of how it will look.
Only 99c - but using a simple spreadsheet may be simpler. Very simple, very basic.
