Blatant Scam

Before your profile is even fully setup you start getting a ton of likes and views and they play it off since you get a “boost”. However, nothing will come out of it. You will get a message from one of the many and have a conversation with them but they are purely leading you into purchasing a subscription. Multiple times in the conversation they will tell you they want to do more or hangout, so naturally you’d ask for their number or some other external form of talking to them because there is a timer on every conversation. If you ask for their contact they will not even acknowledge and keep burning time until the timer runs out. Leading you to want to buy the subscription to keep the conversation going. I’m not saying that there isn’t actually people on the other side but there interest is only upselling you. There’s probably some center where they send these conversations to so that you are talking to someone but it’s definitely not someone remotely close to you. All a part of the scam. And if you ask why this app is so highly rated it’s because the second you login it’s ask you for a 5 star rating without even touching a single feature. Most people won’t go back to change their rating since it’s inconvenient. Regardless I assure you this app is a scam and a waste of time at least for guy, I cannot speak for women’s experience.

Fraudulent App

I’m not the type to write reviews but I had to for this one. As we know all apps like these are pay to play. Fine. I bought the premium membership right away and realized by the end of the day that all the “females” iv matched with are fake and never log back in twice. They will speak like regular people and then force you to buy the “fun moments”, they will say they have to pay and it’s worth it if I buy it. Almost all the females I talked with end up saying the exact same thing, on top of that non of them are willing to hang out or give phone numbers, they just try to advertise to you so you spend more money on the app. So my assumption is that it’s all fraud by the company itself. Also most of the females reply with basic words and they also respond all at the same time. 5-6 girls at once will respond to what I said to them earlier. It’s all fake, but it looks real and gives you the real feel untill you realize what happened. I’m applying for a refund because this app is full of scammers and fake profiles. Oh did I mention that all the girls, literally all the girls have 9+ Fun moments listed on their profile. Like how is it possible that every single person on the app has the maximum “fun moments”? Yea right, this is all fake, also there is no photo verification required so that’s another problem. This app is hands down the worst scam I have come across.

Reported app, so not spend money in this scam

Just reported this app. It is very obviously a scam. There is absolutely no way this app would have a 4.7 star review with the way it functions, these reviews are clearly fabricated with fake accounts. There are also what seems like entirely fake accounts in the app. I allegedly get a new like every minute or so that I'm on the app, but of course can't see the likes unless I pay. Whenever I have gotten a match the girls have extremely generic bios, and don't really reply to what you are saying. I get a strong sense that the messages are AI generated, or someone that works for the app on the other side. Why? Whenever a chat "expires" (usually only a few messages after a match), the girl always messages something like "Are you still there?" immediately after it expires. They should not be able to message if the chat did in fact expire and there is a real person on the other side of the chat. I’ve also had a girl message “my number is” moments before the chat expired, when the users do not know when the chat is going to expire. It's undoubtedly the developers trying to get you to pay to continue the chat.

I haven’t paid for any features of this app so it is only very frustrating for me, meanwhile people that are spending money on this app are absolutely having their money stolen from them by this app.

Awesome app!

I’m usually not too into dating apps but hickey has changed my mind. First off I like how simple easy it is to navigate the app I was easily able to create a profile and navigate the app after downloading. Setting up my search with the various filters they offer was very helpful in finding people with my personal preferences that want to casually date. The different tags they allow in filters really helped me to find the matches I was looking for and made my search worth it! This app is great for someone who is busy and just wanting something fun on the side or for casual dating. Another thing that is noteworthy is the ability to find matches local to me which I find VERY hard on other apps I have tried out. It makes everything so much better knowing there are people in my area interested In the same things. I would definitely recommend this app to any of my friends looking for a good online dating app!

SCAMMM DONT DOWNLOAD, FULL OF BOTS AND EVERYTHING COST SOMETHING

I urge u to read this before you even think about downloading this dating app, let’s get started on the fact everything cost money, and are charge individually for certain perks, you can’t like people for too long without paying, you can’t swipe for too long without paying, you can’t view who liked you without paying, everything cost money, AND THEN WHEN YOU DO PAY IT DOESNT LET YOU DO MUCH, gives you about 5-10 more likes and that’s about it, and it doesn’t let you adjust or change your location without paying, doesn’t even have the option to choose people in my area, but there’s more.. I was in the 90th percentile for several times, I had gotten free boosts off that and everything and I get several hundred likes a day… I have 0 messages, no people I added, added me back, and when I did speak with a woman she was a bot, there’s a whole lot of bots in here it’s to the point you can’t even tell if the woman are real or not, yet they claim to have no bots, they are scammers, this is the worst dating app experience I’ve had, you minus well download yubo and see who you meet on there

You should be ashamed of yourself! Scamming people “I’m sure mostly men” that might be lonely and borderline desperate! Although you might not use bots on your website as you claim… I guarantee that you have people set in place to lure the people that are desperate and lonely just trying out the app! You show them beautiful women that have “VIEWED” their profile and must really like like them because they viewed your profile 4 times!! Or “They lingered on your profile”. They let someone talk to you “that is really gorgeous” for just enough time to get you really excited that they want to hook up!! Then here comes the payment plans before you can talk any further!! PEOPLE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! They should ban apps like this from praying on the desperate and lonely!! Oh and the DEVELOPER will respond to only the people that they think they can still get money from or the “PEOPLE” that give them 5 stars!! If you don’t believe me… check it out yourself and read the “NEWEST” reviews and see how many people give them 5 stars other than the people who are probably on their payroll!!! I would be totally surprised if there was just one person that this app has helped find the kind of person they was looking for!!

Got More Than I Expected….

I had recently gotten out of a bad breakup and were used to other dating apps like tinder, bumbl, plenty of fish, etc. A lot of it got old and to be completely honest, I wasn’t really looking for anything serious. Most dating apps aren’t really clear about what others what in various relationships but that’s where Hickey comes in. Unlike most dating apps, Hickey gets straight to the point as far as relationships; for example, it has labels to identify what you are looking for in a relationship whether it be something serious, fwb, or even just friends! Like all dating apps, there does come a cost. But thinking about it really, you spend money to go out when you meet new people, what’s different from this? So far, I’ve been able to cope off this app from my breakup and I’ve been loving the results so far. I won’t speak to much as that’d be telling my buisness, but DO know you won’t regret giving this app a try.

First impressions not great

TLDR: app is pretty hostile to those who don’t pay and flooded with bots that the devs likely made.

To start, the app is definitely user friendly and pretty easy to navigate since it follows the same model of most other apps like it, but that’s about the only nice thing I have to say. Almost immediately after joining, you get swarmed with “visitors” but you can’t actually see them without paying with the same going for likes. You get one free reveal for likes but the first person you match with is likely going to be a bot programmed by the app. The conversation feels very scripted but has enough AI behind it to make it feel similar to a real person. The save chat feature is incredibly stupid as you only get to talk for 30 minutes before you either have to buy a subscription or are forced to delete the chat. Same thing with the limited swipes. I get the idea that it’s meant to make you actually think about swiping right vs left and not only swipe on ppl based on their first photo, but the point is kinda lost when half the people being shown are several states away. On top of that, most of the people you will first see are likely not real. The photos look professionally taken and edited and feel like they were either stolen from the internet or AI generated. All told, the app feels hostile for people who don’t buy a subscription and is quite likely to scare off most new users pretty quickly.

Swipe mechanics

Not sure if it’s bugged, how long it takes until im able to swipe again, but it’s almost been a day since ive been able to swipe. I also paid for pro, I think we should be able to swipe more, because a few times isnt enough given how many people already swiped on me and how many potential bots/scammers/hookers I gotta go through to match with a decent person close by. I found one decent person out of the few i’ve matched with, and we got disconnected due to the limited chat time, that’s when i decided to buy the pro version, to continue chatting. It worked, but she eventually stopped responding, not sure if it was because she ran out of time too or something else and needed to buy a premium/pro, but I think as long as one person in chat has the premium/pro, they should be able to continue the chatting regardless. So far, I’ve seen the app has just been trying to grab more money from me, and I don’t see it being worth buying anything given my experience with the purchase I already made.

Highly recommend this app!

This is by far one of the greatest adult hookup apps I've tried, don't mention waiting for it, wait for it.... . What more could you ask of an adult dating app? First, hickey is easy to use and understand, and soon you'll see that it's more exciting than just a tinder date. Because, in my time using this dating app, I've found a lot of people I wouldn't have had access to in real life. To be honest, most of the time I'm so busy with work that I don't have time to expand my social circle. Astroturfed profiles. How is this not fraud?

Edit: yeah yeahh i see your same generic response to every complaint like mine. The thing is you sent lying because they are not robotic. They’re real humans on profiles you have provided them which is why they can location hop every other day. YOU all are committing fraud. This isn’t some 3rd party scammer. You are the problem here. You are astroturfing the profiles in the app to pad your user numbers. I’m gong to make it my mission to see you all held accountable for this. Good luck hope you enjoy the remainder of your freedom.

Sure this app has a few real life people on it but 90% of the profiles are very obviously fake, with a spoofed location, and someone in a 3rd world country on the other end typing in broken English. I have matched with probably a hundred women and talked to them on here and not one of them knew anything about the big city they supposedly lived in. I spent probably $100 or more before I realized what was going on. This is absolute bulls**t. I understand it’s hard to get people on your app if no one else is using it but to basically commit fraud and charge someone money for what they have to know is fake interaction. I’ll be looking into a class action lawsuit.

Short term fun

I have likely tried every dating app out there. This one looked good. It does ok and functions well enough. One thing this app did better than most, is finding potential matches NEARBY. So many apps show matches from everywhere but where you are. It makes no sense. This app found several matches right here in my home town.

The problem begins with the attempt to interact with matches. Like all of these apps, you will manage no connection without using an upgrade, …ever. The difficulty here is a lack of clarity regarding what upgrades give you as to features or what limitations there might be. I did one upgrade, chosen based on features and price. Thus I was quite surprised when I found that seeing who visited me was not part of the package. Messaging opened up ok, but if messages are not responded to promptly, they vanish. If I like someone, there is no way to initiate msgs unless they contact you first. After about three days, I have deleted this app, and can only hope that the automatic renewal charge does not occur.

That all said, this app was fun, but does need some serious fine tuning or a real work-over regarding options in upgrades. This has great potential with some serious development work.

Good app, love it!

Hickey, as a best dating site, created a serious and anonymous community by carefully reviewing each profile and weeding out any fake accounts. I'm actually not the first time I've used an online dating app, because I actually have a little fear of online dating. These fears come from the fact that there are a lot of catfish in a lot of dating apps and they always want me to download other apps or go to other sites. But I don't encounter such problems in this online dating app, where more than 90% of users have verified their accounts, and I feel that hickey's audit team is very strict, and I have never encountered fake profiles. Most importantly, the customer service of this online dating app is very friendly and human, every time I have any questions when using this online dating app, I will get feedback quickly. So, I have now become a big fan of this dating app. Even for a free user, there are plenty of free features to use. This is a really fun and exciting concept of a dating app and I can’t wait to try the app out for the long run!

It seemed promising at first, until you figure out that you get something like 5 likes and when you do match with someone, your conversation only lasts a certain amount of time before it expires and you need to spend money to rematch or say “well that was cool for like 5 minutes”, and move on feeling like a piece of you was just stolen after you’ve felt like you were forming a genuine connection with someone after being single for 8 years and not having any other apps work to help form any social connections. I had hopes that this app would be different because of its glowing reviews but I believe those reviews to be just as fake as the app itself. I’m honestly super disappointed and feel more let down than I normally do. Would not recommend unless you feel like dropping $32 a month or $14 a week for premium and possibly only match with bots. The conversation I had wasn’t able to go on long enough to make the determination since it was literally 10 minutes from match to expiration. However, I do believe the woman I was chatting was real.

An excellent local dating app

I have learned a lot from this online dating app, and now I will explain a few aspects of why I like this adult hookup app a little bit more. First: The online dating app works pretty well. Better options for dating

I prefer hickey to other online dating apps.
In fact, there are quite a few types of dating apps, but these dating apps are not for everyone. For example, some dating apps focus on finding long-term relationships, while others focus on finding cheating partners. Like I'm just looking for friends who don't have a relationship or a one night stand or something like that. So I was looking for a long time before I finally found hickey, an online dating app. hickey is perfect for those of us who like to date casually. There are many interest tags in this app. When I set the tags that meet my expectations, hickey will recommend the corresponding friends to me according to the tags I set. So, I only joined this online dating app for a little over a week, but it didn't take me long to find my type of person. Great app!

I met a lot of nice people on this dating app.

I have a bit of a social phobia, which causes me to have very few friends in real life, but I still yearn to socialize normally like everyone else. I tried a few online dating apps and dating apps like bumble and badoo, but for some reason I never got a lot of visibility into my dating profile on these dating apps, which meant I didn’t have the opportunity to meet other people unless I was a paid member of one of these platforms. But I don’t want to do that. So I uninstalled them, and I didn’t use any dating apps for a long time. I saw a blogger on Tiktok post about her experience with hickey, and I thought that was what I wanted, so I downloaded and used this adult dating app in the app market. It's easy to follow the tags to find people who share the same interests

While there are plenty of other online dating apps that use hashtags to find people who share the same interests, most of the matches lend up with are still not what I want. There's a big difference between how I feel on hickey and how I feel on other dating apps.

Similarly, I set up my own TAB, and hickey's system automatically matches me with a lot of people I'm really interested in. I enjoyed chatting with other people on the adult dating app. It's probably because the theme of the app is more realistic, so the girls it attracts are more realistic. It was easy for me to find girls on this online dating app who could dive into conversations and conversations. It makes me feel less tired after a day's work and more relaxed and comfortable. I already found my dream girl at hickey

To be honest, I've used a lot of dating apps to try and find the perfect mate. However, it failed many times. Because I found that a lot of dating apps are covered with scammer. Whenever I sign up for a dating app, I will soon receive messages from other girls, but when I open the app, I find that almost all are messages directing me to some phishing websites. I really wanted to find a real dating partner, but it seemed hard until I met hickey. First of all, I don't get a lot of harassing messages in hickey, and I don't get very upset when I want to end a conversation. Because if I don't keep the conversation for 30 minutes, the conversation disappears. In my opinion, hickey is a very good choice!
