About
MatchPilot runs a practical-shooting match from sign-up to final results — for the competitors who enter it and the clubs that host it.
FOR COMPETITORS
• Find matches that are open for registration and register in a few taps, with your division, power factor, classification and member numbers remembered for next time.
• Pay the club's entry fee online or at the match — the fee goes straight to the club.
• See your squad, your check-in status and your match details in one place.
• Get a QR code by email and check in at the range in seconds.
• Follow live standings as scores post: overall, by division, by class and by category, with projected results while the match is still running.
• Open your own stage-by-stage breakdown: hit factor, points, time, penalties, accuracy by target type, and where you gained or lost time against the stage winner.
• Track your performance across matches, compare head-to-head with other competitors, and run "what-if" scenarios in the Playground.
• Message match staff and fellow competitors in the inbox, with optional push notifications.
FOR CLUBS AND MATCH STAFF
• Load the match onto range tablets with a six-digit sync code and score every stage offline — no cell coverage needed.
• Tablets share scores with each other over local WiFi; a master tablet combines them and uploads when it has a connection.
• Enter hits target by target, with per-target penalties, procedurals, DNF and DQ handled by the discipline's rulebook: USPSA, IPSC, IDPA, Steel Challenge and PCSL, including fixed-time, paper-only and steel stages.
• Pull string times straight from supported Bluetooth shot timers.
• Check competitors in by QR scan or by name, collect fees at the gate, add walk-ons and move competitors between squads.
• Every score edit is recorded with who changed it and when; competitors receive score confirmations by email.
• Post results to the club's match page the moment the last squad finishes.
A MatchPilot account is free for competitors. Clubs manage their matches, registrations and payments at matchpilotapp.com; the app and the website share one account.
Entry fees are charged by the club through the club's own payment processor; MatchPilot never holds your funds and never sees your card number.
Bluetooth is used only to connect to shot timers, and the local network only to sync scores between tablets at the range. Neither is required to use the app.
