I want to like this app

Voice recognition was ok. I give it a B.
My son’s “r” sounds need to mature, so voice recognition had a hard time understanding his 4s and 3s.

Next, it seems we have no control over what is quizzed. I have one kid who I need to quiz +4, +3, +2, but another kid who can do all the possibilities. I wish I could have control over what flash cards to show.

Also, there never seemed to be a stopping g point, or even a running tally of how many we’ve gone through. It was quite endless.

Response from developer

Thank you for the feedback! We will take the "r sounds" thoughts into consideration for improvements to the recognition engine. If you wouldn't mind contacting us over email at support@zymbiotic.com, we can ask you more details about the 4s and 3s pronunciations. Regarding the "stopping point", the initial design was intended to be "endless", where questions get harder as the student answers more and more correctly. In practice we have observed that students stop after a certain amount of self-imposed or teacher-timed session time. There is also a subtle downward animation of a card leaving the screen (instead of sliding over) that can be used to indicate a "session" has ended. Tapping the bottom right corner of a card will allow you to choose a difficulty level.

Win win situation

Kids can practice answering CORRECTLY on their own if parents don’t have the time. The instant feedback when you answer right is satisfying!

Thanks

I am using this since it was recommended to me after I had a stroke. It is helping me exercise my brain.

Great for teachers and parents

This app is so much fun, I just downloaded it and tried it! The voice recognition is smart technology to keep kids engaged. I can’t wait to try it with my students!
