Sorely disappointed in this app! I wanted the original version and this version leaves a lot out.

Great form and function
MHC gives accessible Bible study in an app. The split screen is my favorite feature. Reference links in the text help with giving context. Easy to switch between regular and concise versions. An improvement could be a direct linkage between the two panels.

I just purchased this app, for too much money.
The description, on the Apple website, says that this app offers concise and complete unabridged volume options.
So, here I sit, comparing the printed text version of Matthew Henry's unabridged commentary with what you provide in the app. Guess what... 90% of the material is missing!

A Needed Thing
I found the Matthew Henry commentary to be an excellent study help.
I have been a long time user of this time tested Bible companion in its varies editions in the past,but I really like this format: where you have combined both bible and commentary on one page. "Awesome "

Good App but requires the ability to make the text larger. More flexibility is necessary. (If you can't read small print without glasses this might not be good for you.)
Useful, but buggy & inconvenient
Matthew Henry's commentary is an excellent resource of spiritually-minded reflection on the Scriptures. This app allows the reader to view the Bible text and the commentary simultaneously, in different panes, and also provides pop-ups to display references to other Scripture passages. It's cheaper than other alternatives that I could find which do the same thing. (Note that this app includes the full commentary, not just the concise commentary in which many of the good bits are missing!) However, there are various display-related problems, the most serious being that sometimes the commentary pane becomes blanks,so I have to exit the app and re-enter. And it would be more convenient if integrated with Online Bible, so I could use the commentary in conjunction with other resources. I hope these issues can be addressed in subsequent releases. But it's a great start!

Enjoying it very much. It is a great tool - gives great insight into scripture.

As someone on the go, I do a lot of reading and studying from my phone and iPad. This has been a great resource and I highly recommend it.

Combines the Bible with the Matthew Henry Commentary. An amazing combination if you like the commentary. Great for in depth study of passages.
