Nice but no
Growing up in a Deaf school, we never have French in our curriculum, unlike other public schools. When I downloaded this app, I was excited to learn, but the first lesson tested us on hearing and speaking. I wish there were other options, just to read and understand French.
Not friendly for beginners.
This app is a comprehension supplement and immersion tool, rather than a language learning app. You will find a lack of beginner courses and guides, so it will basically be:
“Here’s Quebecois. Figure it out.”
Regarding the learning content, there is a lot of tie-ins from CBC shows, so it seems more like a way to advertise French Canadian media content.

No longer works
An earlier update to the app deleted much of my progress, and the latest one makes it no longer usable on my ipad. This is very frustrating as I would have liked to use it; it would be good if apps were kept accessible to people in geberà rather than only those who have the most recent devices.
Decent
The app is straightforward for picking up French for beginners—I’ve started right back at the beginning despite knowing enough French to not be insulting. (As in, “I’m sorry, I only speak a little French” and “I don’t understand, sorry!”)
The interface begins to lag if you really want to plow through lessons but otherwise no major problems so far.

Eff America
I already have a French app, I am from ALBERTA CANADA and I am half French. I got this app, just to say eff you to America and eff the orange thing. We are Canada forever and we know about all your bot accounts. Je me souviens.
Delete Duolingo
I’m very thankful that the CBC has made their own app to learn both English and French. Many of us have forgotten what we learned in school and it’s important to keep French as part of our national identity.

Switcher
One feature that would make the app even better is the ability to switch between learning English and French without creating a new account or contacting support. Many people in Canada are learning both official languages, so having a simple language switcher while keeping separate progress for each language would be incredibly useful.

I love that it’s Quebec French but I wish there were more features like Duolingo has. For example I wish you could click on a word to translate it because sometimes I forget the meaning and I need to go google it to check

J'adorais l'application ! Suite à la mise à jour d'hier, l'application bugue. Je suis bloquée. Elle m'a déconnectée de mon compte et refuse mon mot de passe, même après l'avoir réinitialisé. Elle indique que le changement a réussi, mais impossible de l'utiliser 🥲 Aidez-moi, s'il vous plaît !

Kids videos and two weird bugs pls fix
I’m in grade 6 and I use this app to learn French. I would’ve given it five stars if not for the fact that if I try to get into kids videos I just get a “unfortunately this content isn’t available” and it tells me to go back. Also, if I go from the end of a video in the learn area to its series’s spot in the explore area if I try to go back after doing something there it makes me do most of the questions again and then says “trail closed“ and then tells me to restart the app. Please fix this. I really like the kids videos and the changing areas bug is really annoying. : (😩 Update: THE KIDS VIDEOS ARE NOW COMPLETELY GONE???!!! Also,new sound bug: sometimes the sound just stops. Pausing and unpausing the video fixes it,but it’s annoying because if it does it once it will do it more often later in the video.

Do not mix
I downloaded the app and selected that I wanted to learn English, but it includes content in French, and I didn't select a single word in French.
Problem
When I tried to download the app it said that my phone couldn’t support the current version but I could download a previous version would I like to download it. I did, but when I open the app it asks me to update to the new version yet when I press ok it tells me it can’t would I like the older version. This circle continues until I close the app. So is the older version available or not?? 🤷♀️

Amazing app but some suggestions
I genuinely love this app and its free media content, especially since there are no ads—an impressive departure from other language apps. One enhancement I’d suggest is adding audio so we can hear the words selected and the related questions during activities. Additionally, incorporating a Canadian French text-to-speech feature would be fantastic, allowing us to hear the words with a genuine French Canadian accent, as most TTS options currently use France French. Overall, it’s an excellent app that I highly recommend.

PLEASE add slow pronunciation!
Okay, the app is a good way to learn Quebec French, I myself am a Canadian. But, one thing I don’t like about this app, is that it doesn’t have slow listening audio like other language apps like Duolingo. I am partially stuck on one lesson because I cannot hear what the TTS is saying due to how fast it is going. I am confused, please add this in a later update!

Even teachers love it
I found about this app from my French teacher. I speak advanced French as I was in a French immersion school, but I had to change schools to a normal school, and my teacher suggested the app as a teaches Quebec French like expressions words that are different than European French and so much more from listening to the podcasts and shows you can really understand the Quebec accent

Overly focused on copying Duolingo
This app looked great in the ads and I was looking forward to practicing French with Quebec TV. But it really didn’t meet expectations. Video content is short and scattered across a Duolingo-style short term memory game. That said, I think there’s a lot of potential here such as a feature that allows users to get help understanding something right in the video player.

Recently discovered this app and love it
I have been messing with Duolingo and Babble for a while trying to learn French. But Mauril actually teaches Quebecois! I would like the ability to reset my skill level… I may have set it too high and I need to manually scroll back to my actual level every-time I open the app. (If there is a way to reset it I’m missing it)
