What's New in MausBot

1.6.0

October 26, 2026

• Phone apps for bots. With your permission, a bot can read your calendar, add a reminder, look up a contact, draft a message for you to send, or use your location — all from the iPhone you already paired. Every app is off until you turn it on, in Settings. • Simple mode v3: a cleaner bot sheet with two tabs, and a control only where you actually have to decide something. • Voice notes keep playing when you leave the app, no longer stop your music, and carry their transcript behind a disclosure. • Switch computers straight from the device icon on Home. • Jump to latest now lands on the end of the conversation. • Halloween mascot bodies, and silver in the avatar editor.

Top glasses design but still has some issues

I love the design of this app, very well designed and animated, and the data syncing across devices is top class. The amount of work to get something like this up up and running in such a short time is amazing. Still there are some issues that really make it hard to have it as a main driver. My main issue is with the voice system slash engine. I use dictation to communicate pretty much with all my agents. So I was really happy that Open Mouse seemed to head at the curve with TTS, STT and realtime features on desktop. But as soon as I started using it on mobile, it became unusable. When I press the microphone and I start talking, it starts repeating my sentences to the point where I have to delete everything. It’s also unusable in real time call mode as well. It doesn’t pick up things well at all. I have to go to the ChatGPT app to voice my thoughts and copy and paste them on maus. Which is a shame. On a similar note, I really hope you guys can add being able to speak out loud the responses from the agent on the app. For my main agent, they bring long reports and many times I just wanted to be able to sit down and hear about it while I did other things, which is impossible here, even though the feature exist for the desktop version.

More minor issues have to do with the hierarchy of the chat. It feels like the screen itself is too busy. There are four items at the top, and it gets confusing and it feels too cluttered. There's also discrepancies in the icon sizes that brake cohesion.

I wish I could contribute to some of these changes, but I didn’t see that iOS app in the open source repo. Let me know if that changes. Really looking forward to seeing how the app improves. Thank you for the hard work. Will update my review as things evolve.

Awesome compliment to OpenMausBot

This app is a great companion to the OpenMausBot software. It allows me to interact with OpenMausBot when I’m away and keep things running or monitor activity. I highly recommend this along with OpenMausBot for an open source free alternative to other AI agentic bot. Just bring your own AI(s) and you’re set.
