About

Mavis AAC is a more capable, user-friendly alternative to the built-in Live Speech app for those using speech synthesis daily, particularly those with bulbar-onset ALS or other speech problems. Key Features: • Optimized for use with an external Bluetooth keyboard, so minimal reaching and touching are necessary. • History and keyboard shortcuts that make repeating a phrase easy when someone has misunderstood. • Supports iPhone/iPad. • Familiar chat-oriented interface. • Allows fixing the pronunciation of words - most often for people's names or nicknames. • Has multiple bell sounds for helping interject in a conversation or gain someone's attention. • Completely private - this app does not collect data. • Completely offline - this app does not require an internet connection once installed. Voices: • Supports any iOS system voice • Supports Apple's Personal Voice feature when enabled and supported by hardware • Voice, pitch and speaking rate can all be adjusted • Supports importing voice-banked recordings and playing them directly by matching text Telephony: • Supports voice synthesis in both phone and FaceTime calls Support: • Please consult the documentation available at https://lazybearlabs.com/mavis/ • Feedback and questions can be sent to support@lazybearlabs.com
