typos & AI hallucinations
Got this app to review for the GRE and even paid for the subscription. I really liked the spaced repetition structure, but it’s full of typos and, even worse, AI hallucinations. There are entirely fictional words on some of these lists, complete with made-up definitions, synonyms, and example sentences. Don’t pay for this slop.

Absolutely Amazing for Vocabulary Building
I've been using Max Vocab since the beginning, and it has completely transformed how I learn new words! The combination of AI-generated quizzes and the spaced repetition system is incredibly effective. It's not just about memorizing, but truly understanding and retaining each word. The variety of word lists that cover everything from K12 to GRE makes it versatile for any age or level of learning.
The app also works flawlessly offline, which is perfect for learning on the go. It's a fantastic tool for students, professionals, or anyone who loves to expand their vocabulary in a fun, engaging, and smart way. Highly recommend this app for anyone serious about language learning!
