Ads cause sound to cut out
I enjoy playing this game but every time an ad interrupts gameplay, once it closes out, there is no more sound in the game. I don’t want to play this game without sound so I’m deleting it. I’ve noticed this with a lot of similar style games & it takes all the joy out of playing.
Do not pay £7.99
I assumed (incorrectly) that this would be like their older games where you pay £7.99 for the full edition, at least an hour or two of gameplay, this one literally ended (no joke) like 10 minutes later, that is shockingly bad. There’s no way in hell I would pay £7.99 for an “episode” and they don’t describe it as an “episode” or a “part”, they advertise it like it’s the whole game but if that’s the whole game then I’m the queen of England, refund requested and I’ll be avoiding Do games in the future now.

Paid £7.99 and the game was complete 5 mins later
I rarely leave reviews. However, on this occasion I am so annoyed because I purchased the deluxe version for £7.99 and then 5 mins after that the game completed & there wasn’t even a bonus chapter! I am not happy as this is not the way to attract people to play your games, this is a ridiculous situation & not fair charging this amount for 5 mins extra game play. I enjoy Domini games but will be very hesitant to pay for the full version in future.

Chapter one
I have just started playing this game and twice now on the mini games there has been no information. Am just playing the - find the differences - that is the fish tank area. I see there is two arrow circles yet when clicked upon all I get for a few seconds is a bubble screen then it reverts back to the under sea part. Have no idea what is supposed to be happening here. I checked the guide and all it states is play the HOP. No further information, no doubt sone players may understand what is going on but I have no idea. All I am doing is touching the screen and eventually getting green ticks. I note the game had been updated with bugs sorted but is this still a bug I wonder. I will continue on, having paid for the game. One other weird part is what is the yellow stars for, I didn’t pay for the deluxe version just the main game. So is the star linked to that, well who knows

Attention players: The fatal error was fixed yesterday, after I wrote a very threatening letter to Oleg! It shouldn’t have to get to that at all. The update is available on the App Store. So, you may now lift the “embargo” on Magic City Detective, and purchase. So help me, if there is a fatal error or any QA issues in that game, don’t even ask what I plan to do next! This game had a mix of steampunk and sci-fi graphics, with a lot of high tech thrown in. The game was extremely lengthy, inclusive of the bonus adventure. The tasks were enjoyable to complete, and inventory usage had some innovative elements. The storyline was one of mass destruction, but at least it was not about an evil being stealing souls. There was a terrific variety of HO scenes, and a mini-game for every type of player. However, there were too many rotational ones for me, and they were repetitive. The touchscreen sensitivity was not too bad. The lack of collectible circles that indicate which type of the three you needed to collect (gel packs, little robots and books) were missing. In addition, we were burdened with the sales timer clock, which was a 2-hour clock. The sales timer clock subsequently popped up in every chapter. 😡 In addition, the cut-scenes failed to cover the entire gameplay interface, which was a major annoyance. I am rating it 2.5 stars because although it was a creative endeavor, there were too many problems. Without all the glitches it was a terrific game, and I would have rated it more highly. It was a unique genre as well, AI mixed with crime and fantasy. Domini still needs to improve their QA, by enhancing the touchscreen sensitivity further, removing that ubiquitous clock, and indicating collectible items. Note to Wicked Doll: Good for you! Everyone hates the sales timer clock, and now, with a fatal error, is furious with Domini for not repairing it immediately. When will people start complaining about the episodic format, I wonder? We need more CE games. Please write to Domini and complain about this repetitive and dull, not to mention expensive format. I can do a lot but not without help! Thanks, everyone!
