A Workmanlike App, But I Check It Every Day
Love McClatchyDC’s articles, and this helps me consume more of them because they’re now conveniently on my mobile device. I just wish there was a “search” feature or maybe an “award-winning articles” tab to help me explore more McClatchyDC content and maybe some of the back catalogue. This app is really simple, with no frills. It does what it needs to do and, for the most part, it works just fine for me.

This was the only news media outlet in America that questioned Bush Jr. reasons for invading Iraq. Enough reason for me to peruse their DC site...wish they would add more international news..

During the stupidity of the Bush era in the US, these guys actually reported the news well neither blindly reporting what the administration handed them or doing the smear job others like CNN and AP would do. It seems they have changed. What happened to reporters who were trained to critical thinking?

Better than NYTimes and Washington Post
Critical perspective of the news and thorough in-depth coverage of investigative reporting are factors for their success. State, National and Global issues are dealt more sincerely here than what I found in NYTimes, Washington Post and Gaurdian.

Update breaks compatibility.
A great news app. Unfortunately, with this latest update, it won't launch on my 4s iOS 6.1.3. Two stars with the expectation that the glitch will be fixed.
Unusable!
I couldn't even get past the first screen on iPhone 5 running iOS 7. This is truly a rotten app.
Latest 10/20 Update Fails To Open
After last IOS 7.0.3 update the McClatchy app loads and shows splash screen but 5 seconds later minimizes without continuing to main articles page. Major fail.
Suddenly doesn't work anymore
App hasn't worked for three days now. When you tap on the icon, you get the opening screenshot of the Capitol for about ten seconds, then you're back to the home screen. Have tried deleting app and re-installing, but it's still doing it.
Not Working at All
Newest update does nothing. Only the main picture shows. As useless as the US House of Representatives
