I love seeing positive leftest news, documentaries and analysis of the news that is normally ignored about unions coops and the environment. I feel good paying for creators who are as excited about making a caring sharing world as I am!
Honestly needs more content
Im really craving more socialist content and when I found MeanTv i was really excited. But the longer ive been a member, even the daily news has become shorter and not daily. Please make more content I won’t cancel my subscription because its important to support the content that is out there. But it is getting harder to recommend this to others.

Great Concept, Limited App
Having a fully worker owned leftist streaming service is a great idea! Means TV seems to be slowly expanding their catalogue of creators. Some of my favorite left creators have a presence here. Means Morning News is always a good watch.
For Apple TV users, the app is functional, but not without its flaws and bugs. If you have multiple devices, you may have to sign in when you switch, but the app won’t let you play a video without restarting the app. This wouldn’t be a problem if the app would return you to where you left off. The app is also a little slow on older Apple TVs.
There are quality of life improvements they can make, such as showing only subscribed creators, marking watched videos, and allowing users to turn off auto-play. A UI refresh to make it more efficient and easier to navigate would be welcomed.

So good! I haven’t seen a single bug in months of use.
One thing I would love is the ability to click on the channel’s icon below the video to nav to the creator’s channel, so I can see all their videos.

Love the shows, UI needs work
I love what y’all are doing and I’m going to continue to support what you’re doing. However, I am very neurotic about user interface and find both the UI for iPhone and Chromecast to be difficult to navigate, specifically navigating to “favorites” from the main menu. I go to the app to watch Means Morning News every few days, but navigating to the newest episode is always frustrating.

Doesn’t work with media controls
the content on the app is great, but i can’t play/pause using media controls like i would expect out of any video/audio playback app. not ideal.
In these trying times…
I recommend Means TV. Means morning news gives me bite-sized updates with a hefty side of sarcasm, thanks to Sam Sacks. I get a run down on all the malarchy in the US and abroad as well as union triumphs and challenges. Thanks to means, I have access to a breadth of other content all with an anti imperialist slant. I’m proud to keep my membership and have gotten comrades to follow and subscribe. Hoping to ditch other providers in the near future.

Clean design and good features. I love that I can listen to videos while using other apps or turning my screen off. Downloading videos will come in handy for flights and long trips

If you’re like me and spend hours listening to YouTube video essays or high-quality videos on various topics this app is basically that with the added benefit of the actual creators getting paid higher percentages, less chance of getting randomly shaodowbanned or demonetized resulting in more reliable pay to those that upload as a full time job.
