Mebit - Exocortex

An external memory for the things your brain drops. Mebit is your exocortex — drop a thought the moment you have it, then ask for it later in plain language. SAY IT ALL AT ONCE Talk the way you actually think. One breath can hold three unrelated things: "We're out of coffee, Jamie's birthday is March 3rd, and remind me to flip the steaks in six minutes." Mebit pulls that apart into separate notes and files each one where it belongs. THEN JUST ASK • "What do I need at the store?" • "Where did I put the spare key?" • "Anything I need while I'm out?" • "What do I need at the store — and what else might I need?" Mebit answers from your own notes, aware of where and when you are. TWO BUTTONS. THAT'S IT. • Capture — tap the Thought Well, speak, done. Three seconds of silence saves it. • Ask — ask a question, get an answer drawn from your own notes. OR DON'T OPEN IT AT ALL "Hey Siri, drop this in Mebit" — then say the thing. It lands sorted, on the right shelf, without your screen ever coming on. Ask the same way: "Hey Siri, look it up in Mebit," and hear the answer back on a locked phone or in the car. Put it on your Action button or in Control Center and capture is one press from anywhere. IT ACTS THE MOMENT YOU SPEAK Say a date and Mebit offers to put it on your calendar. Say "in ten minutes" and it sets the reminder, and the countdown sits on your Lock Screen until it goes off. Mention a store and it offers to nudge you when you're there. Nothing to file, no forms — accept the offer or ignore it. No wall of tasks staring back at you. YOUR OWN PLACES Name the places that matter — "my office," "Mom's house," the grocery store you actually use. Notes attach to them, and your shopping list groups by where you'll buy it. Place reminders are strictly opt-in and off by default. FIX IT ON THE SPOT Misheard a word? Edit the note, or just re-speak it. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • Your notes live on your device. Nothing is sold, mined, or advertised against — ever. • Optional iCloud backup, off until you turn it on, so deleting the app doesn't take your notes with it. The copy is in your own iCloud — we have no server and can't read it. • On-device voice transcription. No account to create. • Smart recall works on any iPhone with zero setup. Add Apple Intelligence or your own AI key (Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini) for richer, generative answers — you hold the key.
