Useful app, but definitely needs one missing feature
This is very useful. From inside this app, I can select any document on my iPad (video, image, etc), and I can also select an image from the Photos app, and it provides all the metadata on these files that I require. What would be really helpful, though, is if I could access this app from within the Photos app share menu, or directly from any file inside the Files app through the right-click menu.

Perfect
Great app that allows you to upload via camera roll or files app!
Share sheet
Please give us a way to share media directly using the iOS built in share sheet/actions or even a shortcut of some sort. There is a review from 4 years ago complaining about the same thing make it happen
Storage hog
Just like the one other written review states, the app seems to duplicate files to read the metadata with no way of clearing them. As a result the app balloons and space can only be freed up by deleting the app and reinstalling. Pls fix.
Can’t open large video files
This app should be an easy 5 stars for me, but there are a couple issues. First, it doesn’t allow you to upload large video files. I’m not sure what the exact limit is, but it’s somewhere around 1GB. Anything larger than that, and the app crashes without opening the video info.
And the other issue is the storage space the app takes up. The more you use the app, the larger it gets, and it doesn’t take long for it to take up 5-7 GB of storage on my phone. This isn’t as big of a deal because simply deleting the app and reinstalling it solves it. I would still give it 5 stars if I could open video files larger than 1 GB.

Puzzling Limitations
Why? Why would you release an app that is supposed to be the mobile complement to a very useful and comprehensive desktop application with so many limitations? Only being able to view files that are saved in your iCloud Drive folder makes no sense at all. If you have files that you’ve airdrop to yourself and are stored on your camera roll or just general files in your camera roll you need to copy them over to your iCloud Drive which not only doubles the amount of space used on your device but adds frustrating and time consuming steps. The benefits of having a basic utility to quickly view detailed specs on media files doesn’t justify the extra hoops this app makes you jump through. Why the limitation?

Response from developer
Downloading the complete file is due to the operating system (we don't ask for the complete file), and it will take some time for us to figure out how to better use the operating system programming interface for not downloading the full file and also supporting more interfaces.
Great app but not directly in photos
Please add this app to work directly into photos app using share option exactly like how View EXIF App work. And this app will copy the video to it self directly and there is no way to remove that files. So be careful about that.
a useful app with a significant bug
After you open a video file with this app, this app will be contain that video file in it. You can see this app become very large in the system settings, iPad storage option.
Practically useless because it doesn’t work with your media library, only with Files
You have to copy individual files to your files (iCloud Drive or whatever it’s called) and only then you can access them. You can’t get info from your camera roll or a photo or video album.
Would be 5 stars if you could add “Open In...” feature.
This app would be AMAZING and worth the price of the subscription fees I’m currently paying – if any ONLY IF – the application would show up as an option when selecting a file in any other app to, “Open in...’, where “MediaInfo” could ideally be an option.
I’ve tried extensively to search for this ability by managing my Actions Menu that pops up for opening files in other applications, and MediaInfo is the ONE APP out of several on my iOS devices that seems to be *incapable* of appearing in the menu when trying to share/open ANY sort of file from ANY other application.
Would the Developer(s) of this application PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE work on resolving what should be the easiest feature to include??? Literally every other iOS application has this feature, and the fact that this one doesn’t is beyond frustrating. What’s the point of having this application – AND PAYING FOR THE “EXTRA FEATURES” – if it cannot do the one task it needs to?
What’s the point of this app without such a significant feature? I’m asking you honestly. I’ll wait...

YYEEESSS!!!
Finally! I’ve looked for Mediainfo on iOS (now iPadOS) for years. Part of my job is to look at media file encoding to determine its compatibility, and that the file is actually properly encoded in the first place.
I work from home with 2 (soon to be 3) kiddos. My iPad (now iPadPro) has had a big role to play in my daily workflow, even just my ability to WORK while on the go.
Having Mediainfo right on my iPadPro now is a HUGE deal for me. THANK YOU (and take my money!)!!!
