Crazy!
This app doesnโt work!!!
Lemonade Stand for history nerds
Ideal combination of engagement and mindless relaxation. Very calm and nerdy.
Awesome game!
Loved the computer version of this game! Unfortunately, the iPad version lacks several of the more in depth features available in the computer version. It has also proven to be very buggy as buttons disappear randomly and such. I'm hoping that more will be added at some point and that stability will be improved as time passes, as this was once a favorite game of mine and I'd love to get back into it again. Thanks for the hard work!

Hanse meets skinny Patrician
Enjoyable trading simulation reminiscent of old school games like "Hanse" and "The Patrician". Had been searching for something to play after "16bit Trader", here it is!
Simple concept, excellent execution
It's quite a simple game, but unlike most trading games this one has enough variety to stay interesting right through to the end. There's definitely room for expansion, as others have said, but those are "good to awesome" features, not "if only they had..." features.
Patrician by any other name
Based on the old Patrician PC games the graphics are too small to play comfortably on a mini IPad
Merchants
Very entertaining, needs some learning, will use a considerable time
Support these Guys!
Bought because one of the few developers to not go freemium with an economic simulator game. Also, i love Patrician!
Nice piece
Nicely done, straight forward, easy to play.
OK
Once you finish your first game you don't seem to be able to play again. You either immediately win or lose at the end of the first turn? Quite enjoyable the first game though.
Almost as good as Patrician
Fun game
Please refund me!!!!!
This game is just awfull. PLEASE refund my money. This is 2013. Not 1980. Not worth purchase or time. Where is the refund button?
Medieval merchants
Excellent trading game, brings back memories of Patrician
2nd quest
I can get through the first just fine, but for some reason I can't get through the second quest. I know I did it correctly, but it just won't let me finish it. What is going on?!
Awful
What a huge load of nothing...and by nothing I mean ---
This is game that never should've been made. Confusing to start with and utterly boring when you figure it out. Attractive, but it ends there. Save the dollars and by something else - there are wonderful board games worth playing instead.

Bland game
Thanks for fixing the crash bug, I am finding this to be a very stable game now. I have put some hours into it, trying to see if it gets more interesting with time, but I feel this is a very bland game. There is no tension during play, there is no direct interaction with the computer opponents, there is little sensation of town growth, the difficulty is too easy with no option of making it harder, the random events are too few and uninteresting, the quests are uninspiring, and there is just not much depth. I enjoy the trading genre, and really wanted to like this game, but for me it falls flat.

Improved from "unplayable" to "don't buy this game!"
Update for v1.1:
I figured I'd try to play the game since the crash bug is allegedly gone. I write "allegedly" because now I can't even get a game to start. I tried starting a new game, the loading screen came up, music played, and the progress bar eventually reached 100%. Then...nothing! The loading screen remained, the music kept playing, and that was it. After quitting and restarting the app I finally got a game going.
As I wrote before the tutorial is very weak...you'll spend some time trying to figure out what to do and how to do it. The UI makes little sense. Try closing the trading screen with the red X at the bottom...won't work. You need to use the red X at the top left (top left? Who puts the close button there?) If you like the sound of coins just keep hitting the green check mark.
And if you like the sound of real coins then keep them in your pocket and don't buy this game. There are better trading games out there

v1.0 review
As others have written, the game is completely unplayable as-is. The bug is not "minor"...what the developer fails to mention is that early in the game (including during the rather anemic tutorial) you will never have a ship in transit. This means the game will crash every turn.
It does not matter that there is a fix in to Apple. There is no excuse for releasing a game in such a state...the most basic level of testing would have revealed this issue. Clearly the developers have no understanding of test plans or regression testing. As a professional software developer I know of what I speak.
Unfortunately the developers lived up to the name "rapidrabbit". They should pay heed to the fable and not rush their products out the door.
As for the game itself, based on the few turns I've played I don't think it's worth full price, especially if rapidrabbit was as careless with game design as they are with software quality.

Ah...Patrician for my iPad!
โโ Update: Crash bug is GONE!
Not making excuses but if you read their blog they had issues with Apple getting the update out in a timely manner. But! crashes are now gone, game is fun, lots to do, presents a challenge, and is very well made. A great simulation and highly recommended.

Bugs
The game seems to crash every single step of the way. And the quest line at the top which says "sail your ship from 'city' to 'I can't see where I'm supposed to go' doesn't help either. Hope you can fix the bugs A.S.A.P.
Unplayable due to frequent crashes
Crashes frequently to the point that you can't play three turns in row and sometimes after every turn! 2.99 price is so we early adopters can file bug reports so the dev can fix the various issues. Stay away from this.
