About

Never text "where are you?" again. Outside a station. At a festival. Inside a huge mall. The map says you have arrived, but you still cannot find your family or your friend. You call, you look around, and you still walk past one another. The slowest part of meeting someone is the last hundred feet. Meettap is for meeting up with someone you have already arranged to see. It takes care of exactly that last stretch. ■ All you do is send a link Tap Start and a link is created, ready to send. Messages, email - anywhere you can paste a link works. If they are already in front of you, just show them the QR code. When they open the link, both screens show an arrow pointing at the other person and the distance between you. The arrow gets more precise as you close in, and the screen lights up when you are face to face. There is nothing to read. You just walk the way the arrow points. ■ Where it helps You reach the meeting point and cannot spot your family. You lose a friend in a festival crowd. You arrive at a station on a work trip to join a colleague. You look for someone who went ahead to the car in a huge parking lot. Every one of these is the same situation: they are close by, just not visible. ■ They do not need to install anything Whoever receives the link can meet you without installing the app. You never have to ask anyone to "download this first". ■ Only the two of you The only person you connect to is the one you handed the link to. Sharing is always equal - one side can never watch the other. It happens only while the app is open, stops when you close it, and nothing is tracked in the background. ■ It disappears when you are done The link stops working the moment you meet. The same happens if either side ends it, or after three hours. It is single use, so nobody can open it later. No meet-up history is kept on our server. ■ Keeping a record is your choice When you find each other, you can keep that one meet-up. Nothing is saved by default. Only on the occasions you tap "Save this meet-up" does this iPhone store how far apart you started and how long it took. The app has no way of knowing who the other person is, so any name is one you type yourself. You can delete records at any time. ■ Apple Watch Start a meet-up on your iPhone and the distance and arrow appear on your wrist, so you do not have to hold your phone up in a crowd. The Watch mirrors what the iPhone shows, so every generation of Apple Watch works. ■ Pricing Five meet-ups a month are free. For people who meet up more often, Meettap Pro raises that to twenty, as a one-time purchase - not a subscription. Only meet-ups where the other person actually joined are counted, and a meet-up in progress is never interrupted. Whoever receives your link is always free. - - - No account required. We do not register or collect your name, email address or phone number. There are no ads. To improve the app we record totals only - how many times actions such as "a link was created" or "two people met" happened. No identifier for you or your device is ever attached, so who, when and where simply do not exist in the data, and nothing is shared with any third party. Compatibility: iPhone 11 and later show more precise distance and direction (excluding iPhone SE and iPhone 16e). On other models you can still meet up using approximate direction and distance.
