Unexpectedly good
When I first saw the reviews, I thought it would be a poor imitation of some other game. It’s actually not. It’s very original and very addicting and very simple, and the music is great. So why not give it five stars? Thanks.
I Like MegaMan
I like this game and the main character is MegaMan! This game is good. I am trying so hard to make this game from scratch!
Oh boy.
This certainly surprised me.
I expect this to be an app with no music, terrible controls, and even worse balancing on enemies.
However what I got, while certainly not the best thing ever, surprised me.
My issues include:
A really odd sprite that's, very obviously, Mega Man X.
It does not mesh well with the art of the enemies you face.
The projectiles seem to be coming from the character's...face?
Another sprite that illustrates the character shooting would be very much appreciated.
A lot of the images used for the platforms, hazards, enemies, etc just have no sense of cohesion.
The jump is very floaty and weird.
The sprite is far too big for its own good and can cause for some very confusing times.
I'm not sure how this could be fixed in the game's coding, but MAN dropped items like coins and health clip through the floor and it's really distracting.
At one point, I didn't even pick up an item.
The character walked right through it.
Overall, while i was pleasantly surprised at the amount of effort, this was simply just another "Make a game with a name as close to a recognized brand as possible so I can get a ton of downloads."
This was a nice attempt, and I'd like to see this developer grow in the future.
This isn't the best that can be done with this engine.
An original character (following a similar character design philosophy to Mega Man X perhaps) and better sprites being used would help this a whole lot.
