a lovely journey
I have to be quick because this review bubble came right up at the end: Meg’s Monster is a wonderful game. The pixel art is stunning, the localization is phenomenal, and the story, while familiar, is full of life with its fantastic characters. The gameplay is simple but engaging enough. I knew early on I was going to end up wanting to play any Odencat game I could get my hands on, and already have several queue’d up. Thank you for this treasure!

I don’t think I ever wrote a review in my whole life but here i am. This game is beautiful 10/10
I finished this game last night. Couldn't sleep.
The game's simple. You're this big ugly ogre with a million HP. Can't die. I don't want to tell you why the ogre having more HP matters, but it keeps me up at night. The meaning behind it is amazing, it’s been three days and I still can't believe that much thought went behind this small detail. What I can tell you is this: there's a little girl named Meg. And you have to keep her safe. That's it. That's the whole game.
But here's the thing that's been eating at me even more. The game has ads. Like, ads you must watch to access to side quests and the reality hit me so hard I almost cried again. This tiny studio poured their whole souls into this beautiful, heartbreaking, perfect little game. And they still need to run ads just to keep going. The ads aren't annoying but kinda makes you feel they're desperate. It’s kinda like a quiet message that says "We love making games for you guys. We honestly just need money." And that wrecked me almost as much as the ending did.
Because here's this masterpiece. This game that understands love and fear and sacrifice on a level most big-budget titles NEVER touch. And they can barely afford to exist. Play this game. Especially if you're a parent. Especially if you've ever loved someone so much it scared you. Especially if you want to support people who pour their hearts into what they make.
I wish this game costed money so I could buy it over and over again 10/10. This one’s a must

Amazing story!!
It’s funny, witty and made me cry! It’s worth playing, I wish I had purchased the ad free version (you will want ad free on this!! It’s so good)
Anything by Odencat is 100% guaranteed to be good but this story really blew me away. Awesome job developers, please make many more stories!

Simple Story and Pathos Appeal
I could never distinguish between predictability and foreshadowing, but I guess when if the developers laid down the hints it’s the latter. Still, simple story, charming aesthetic, pulls on heartstrings, and easy game mechanics. Not really replay -able though
Impactful
I have always loved RPG games that had a great story and impact of the characters this really reminds of famous titles like Mother,Pokemon, and Undertale it was a tear jerker really sets how much it can be loved this game it’s so underrated hope to give more love for these bits someday

I HATTEEEEEEEEEE THE STORY DIRECTORS OF THIS GAMEMEMEMEHSKQOWGWNWAJELWJWUWKWJW

Beautiful storytelling
I loved this game so much! The gameplay was quite simple, but the story was so immersive I couldn’t put it down. It reminded me of “To The Moon” a lot in terms of vibes, but the story itself is very original and refreshing. Most importantly, all the characters were beautiful and believable, and it really builds their relationships through many funny and poignant moments. I didn’t expect to cry this much! It really reminded me of the beauty of love, and how it changes us regardless of whether the people are still in our lives or not.
