Excellent

A great application that clearly shows all the required information about weather in Melbourne and on the bay.

Go to app for any wind sport

This is brilliant app for pulling together all of the must have info for sports effected by wind and weather. It works equally well on the iPhone and iPad. It’s a no brainer; get this app.

Best wind app I've found

Good maps and use of wind feeds that other apps don't use. Would be nice to have an alert function like the kr app.

My favorite app

This is the app I use most. With one touch I get instant access to the bom wind for westernport. Also use for weather.

Good app

Great app for local fisherman/sailors gives a heap of info in real time, recommend it

Ordinary

I live on the bay and check this app regularly. It uses info from other sources and just collates it. Other info is regularly incorrect and so is this app.
Wouldn't buy again.

Great app just got better

I had trouble with this release and emailed the developer. They worked tirelessly to sort it out over multiple emails and I have to say it was worth it. As a sailor I have used this app almost daily since its initial release. It's not flashy, but it gives me access to the info I need to determine if, when and where I sail. The new version refines and expands the coverage. Great work!

On another note, there has been no charge since the initial release. I for one would be happy to pay for continued development on this app (at a reasonable cost of course). I don't expect continual improvements for nothing.

Useless

Hopeless does not work crashes with OS5. Had to load original app. To use it. What a waste of time.

Melb Winds

Great app that collates all the BOM Wind data...not only for Melbourne but all the way along the Vicco coast!
Great for sailing road trips and checking where its blowing...

Nearly....

With the new update, it doesn't crash on me anymore, but when I select BOM, I get Sea Breeze. When I select Sea Breeze, I get Gipplsand and so on...so I have to select 1 above what I want. Sea Breeze graphics are a bit ordinary. Apart from that, everything else works well. I can find what wind is where and what it's going to do and that, after all, is the whole point of the app. Definitely worth while with room for a little improvement.

Excellent

Excellent. Fixes all the shortcomings of Baywinds Heavy. Must have for Melbourne sailors.

MelbWinds

Nice app does what it's supposed to do - good amount of information available at any time - perhaps be nice to be able to "turn off" some locations that don't need data for (unless I've missed something)

Just wish I didn't have to fork out again (yes I know it's not very much money but a principle) for access to the windgraph feature included in BayWInds - please update that for iOS4 too.

For what I do/want BayWinds is better but won't do everything under new OS

Great app

A nice, simple app. Gives current wind speeds at a number of melbourne locations, as well as western port. Also gives maps of where the sites of the recordings are and BOM forecast. A very neat app for boaties!

Fantastic

Must have for any melb sailor

Handy app

Does what it says and it is handy to have an easy to use wind app to check the weather for diving. Prefer this one to the baywinds one because of the map and location service.

Very happy...

Nice, Simple and Effective.

Plenty of potential

Excellent app if wind is important. If you 're into fishing, sailing or surfing this app is a must have. Forecasts and readings are good, but there is plenty of room for improvement. Would like to see readings and forecasts for the whole state, not just for essentually the metro area. I'm sure people in other states with larger coastlines, such as WA & QLD. would appreciate this. Why not create an Auswinds app for all of OZ for say $5. Otherwise excellent.
