Mellow Meadow: Preschool Games

Mellow Meadow is a set of six calm games for children aged 3 to 5. A friendly teddy bear shows the way, every instruction is spoken, and your child sets the pace: nothing moves on until they act. THE GAMES • Animal homes: sort animals by where they live, on the farm, in the woods or in the water. • Colour sorting: match and name basic colours. • Size sorting: compare sizes and put things in order. • Counting match: count objects and match the count to its written number. • Shadow match: match an object to its outline. • Listen and find: hear an everyday word and find its picture. Each game practises one skill, named in the grown-ups' area. The games were designed using research, but they have not yet been tested with children, so we promise nothing more than the practice itself. CALM BY DESIGN • No reading needed: instructions are spoken in English, French or German. • No scores, stars, countdowns or fail screens. A wrong answer is never punished; the game simply helps again. • Slow, soft transitions and gentle sound. Music and voice can each be switched off. • Every game comes to a calm end by itself. FOR GROWN-UPS Behind a grown-ups' gate you can: • set your child's age (3, 4 or 5), which chooses the stage each game plays at; • set a daily limit: when play time is used up, the app says goodbye and closes gently; • choose quiet hours when the games are unavailable; • pick the language; • read each game's goal, an idea for playing together, and an idea for away from the screen. PRIVATE AND OFFLINE • No ads and no in-app purchases. • No account, and nothing personal is collected. • Works fully offline, with no links out to the internet. • Everything the app remembers stays on this device.
