Not good for iPads!

I got this to practice two-row button melodeon in GC, as found on a Hohner Erika. I love how this app lets me set up a large variety of reed tones and a huge number of keys. However, it somehow changes my iPad Pro to vertical only, and there is no easy exit. Once I managed to get out, but was stuck in Vertical. The next try, I couldn’t get out at all! In both cases, I ended up turning off the iPad, then restarting. In both cases the iPad reverted to its correct format. But I’m not going to use it again. This has been out for at least 11 years, but its controls seem circa 1990. Why is it so rudimentary? Why isn’t it set to work well with iPads? I’m out $10, for which I received ten minutes of frustration.
