Great but imperfect
At higher levels app will sometimes replay ‘proper’ notes in the wrong octave. It then reassigns the incorrect answer to that note’s label, marking them ‘incorrect’ when they were correct. The product support page on Facebook is not working today; don’t know if it ever works.
Simple and straightforward ear training!
This app keeps it simple and gets straight to the point. Melody Dictation doesn’t feel intimidating like those boring theory apps out there. It’s actually fun to practice. Just need your iPhone and a set of ears. Start training fast and on the go!
Very useful to enhance music memory
The game can help me actively recall notes and think hard about intervals. Quite useful. I had little music sense for most of my life. I picked up this app as an adult. Now I can distinguish short melody with ease. I found when I just listen to a song, I pay most attention to the feelings/lyrics. This app forces me to pay attention to the short melody and notice the subtleness of different intervals. My only wish is that they can have even more exercises!
