Removing critical features
I’ve been using this app for years, it was my go to app for making dumb little memes. They started putting a lot of stuff behind a paywall, which was fine I get it. But not you can only have like 10 pictures (as in pieces you upload to use as components) before you need to pay. I would have to basically nuke my account to make anything else or pay a subscription. Never gonna happen and now I sadly can’t recommend this anymore as it fell into the “free but everything is behind a paywall” model

Now you have to pay for everything except the most basic of features, and it’ll constantly nag you to subscribe to their app and pay money to do things like cropping photos.
I’ll watch ads, I’m not paying money for a generic app that makes what I could do 10x better on any computer just a little easier on my phone.

The developers are so greedy you can barely make anything!!? idk why there are such good reviews are those reviews working for the devs THE FREAKING SUBSCRIPTION IS BAD AND EXPENSIVE!! Use ChatGPT or something to make memes not this stupid app.
Used to be Great
This app used to be amazing until they did an update about 4 months ago. Now it is very clunky and annoying at times. They also changed one of the best features of making custom cut-outs. I did have a paid subscription to this app but I cancelled yesterday because they literally ruined it with update.

Most of the things you can’t use if you don’t have the pro version, which I’m pretty sure you’re supposed to pay for it. And somethings don’t even work! So 4 stars it is, I guess.🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️

Best Meme App Ever
I’ve used the Meme Maker app for the past 5 years. I absolutely love it. I have seen this app grow and expand its ability to do everything, and doing it perfectly. I’ve tried at least a dozen or more meme apps, been unhappy and dumped them. MemeMaker is the only one I’ve kept and will never let go. Give it a try and if you choose the Pro version, you’ll get your monies worth. I know I do.

NO BACKGROUND ERASE ANYMORE
Well, if you want to pay $150 a year you can have it, maybe for $60 a year — no way to know. This WAS one of the best little apps to make memes. Now it’s grifter garbage.
Hard to find meme templates
This app would be great but the search is useless so the only way to find a particular meme template is to scroll through every category.
