About
Memory Castle turns the oldest memory trick in the world into a game.
Long before notebooks and phones, Greek and Roman speakers memorized whole speeches by imagining a building and placing each idea in a room. Memory champions still use it today. It's called the memory palace, or the method of loci, and it works because your brain is brilliant at remembering places.
HOW IT WORKS
• Step into a hand-painted room and study where each object sits.
• Tap each one and picture it there. The more vivid and absurd, the better it sticks.
• The room empties. Drag every object back to the exact spot where it belongs.
• Get it perfect and the room grows by one more object. Master the room and climb on.
20 HAND-PAINTED ROOMS
From a sleeping pod under star charts to a treehouse strung with lights, every room is its own little world, with objects you won't find anywhere else in the castle.
THE GATEKEEPER
Every three rooms, the Gatekeeper blocks the stairs. To pass, rebuild all three rooms from memory, back to back, with no hints. Pass and your climb is saved. Slip and you'll have to earn your way back up.
THREE WAYS TO PLAY
• Story Mode: Climb the castle room by room. Miss once and you get one more try. Miss again and you head back to the start of that part of the castle. Pick up from any room you've reached on the castle map.
• Timed Mode: Every room arrives fully set up, revealed object by object on a clock you set from 1 to 7 seconds. One slip ends the run.
• Endless Mode: Rooms keep coming, and after each one you rebuild every room so far. The load keeps growing. How deep can you go?
PLAY YOUR WAY
• Easy, Medium or Hard: 4, 5 or 6 objects per room, chosen separately for each mode.
• A calm original soundtrack. Pick your favorite song or let it play at random.
• Made for iPhone and iPad, and for the foldable iPhone, folded or open, in any orientation.
• Plays completely offline. No account and no sign-in.
• Nine languages: English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese, Korean and Simplified Chinese, switchable any time.
• A short walkthrough teaches each mode the first time you play it.
TIPS FROM THE MEMORY PALACE
• Make it strange. A thermometer dancing on the shelf is easier to recall than a thermometer sitting there.
• Use your senses. Imagine the sound, the smell, the weight of each object.
• Walk the room in order. Go left to right, the same way every time.
• Rest, then review. The Gatekeeper rewards rooms you've revisited in your mind.
FAIR AND SIMPLE
Story rooms 1 to 3 are free to play. Unlock the rest with small one-time purchases: All Rooms, Endless Mode, Timed Mode, or All Access for everything. No subscriptions, no ads, no energy meters asking you to wait, and no personal data collected.
WHO IT'S FOR
• Students who want a better way to learn for exams.
• Puzzle fans looking for a calm challenge that rewards focus, not speed. (Unless you pick Timed.)
• Anyone who walks into a room and forgets why. Start here.
• Families: no ads, no chat, nothing to sign up for.
A SKILL THAT STAYS WITH YOU
The memory palace isn't just for games. Once you've built a few rooms in Memory Castle, you'll have a technique you can use for shopping lists, names, speeches and study, long after you put your phone down.
