Too many punishments
I don’t understand why there are more punishments than rewards in this game and then ads, it’s very discouraging and makes me not want to play anymore. I liked it at first for the silly cats but I kept only merging to certain level that never changed and it got boring really quickly.
Excessively punishing for something so luck-based
The gameplay can be enjoyable but with the level progression punishments can become unavoidable, and if you survive long enough it’s pretty much inevitable that you’ll end up in an endless loop of punishments which really ends up sucking the fun out of the game.
A roguelike, as this game proclaims itself to be, typically balances its difficulty with the ability to become more skilled, but with how luck-based the spawns, perks, and punishments are, that isn’t possible.
If the game had some form of meta-progression besides the three special perks I think it would be more balanced, allowing the player to obtain permanent buffs/abilities to stand in for the lack of skill progression.
Also, a smaller aside here, since ads are already being used as punishments and to unlock certain things, having the random ads pop up on top of that is pretty excessive and only adds to how frustrating the game can be.

This is way too unpopular
For a mobile game it’s really good. I live all of the different variations of cats and makes the game a more interesting version of the Suika game. It’s also a really good roguelike.
Most fun merging game i’ve ever played!
This game is very fun! i don’t get bored too quickly and the idea of perks and punishments are a fun idea. what i dont like about the game is that there are lots of ads during gameplay, the ads are short so it’s not a big of a deal but it’s still displeasing when i’m in the middle of gameplay and get an ad. other than that i enjoy this game immensely! i hope more perks and punishments are added soon!

Too many forced ads
Forced ads are shoved down your throat after every few hands. So every 2 minutes. Ridiculous. Game needs wifi so can’t avoid ads for free. So I’m deleting. Besides the ads issue, this game needs A LOT of work. It’s not balanced well at all but it could have potential. I don’t see the devs focusing on making this game enjoyable and actually playable. Very disappointed. I was hoping I was going to play a cute game to pass the time.

Fun but can be harsh
The game play is nice, decently designed assets and sound designs. The ads you do get are short, only takes 5 seconds before they let you skip it.
My main issue is that it punishes you a little to hard. Now I like a challenge, and I don’t want this to be easy, but it’s so easy to just slip and not be able to recover, which isn’t that great.

Love this game! Underrated!
This is game is amazing! Love how there are power ups and that the game is actually challenging. To those complaining about ads it literally cost 0.99 cents to get rid of all ads… If you can’t pay this, I suggest you stop complaining and get a job lol. Great game hope to see it thrive!!
It’s not a great experience but I still like it… kinda.
Two main issues I have.
First, an actual gameplay issue: punishments are too harsh, especially when they last indefinitely. Even just one, if you’re unlucky, hinders your ability to get enough fish in time, then you get another and another, then it’s impossible to do anything but fail and start over with 3. You slipped and fell on accident? Here’s a kick in the head. Now if you don’t get up, I will kick you again. (This complaint isn’t really serious, but it’s still a compliant. It could easily be improved by making all punishments temporary.)
Now the more serious of my two issues: the game says it requires an internet (or “cat network”) connection to work, even though no feature exists where a connection is actually necessary; no leaderboards, no multiplayer, no chat, nothing. I am entirely certain it does this so you aren’t able to avoid the ads, which if you can’t tell by almost all the other reviews, are many and little between. There’s another issue here: IT MAKES THE GAME UNPLAYABLE OFFLINE! This would be a PERFECT offline game, but because of the need to shove ads down our throats like foie gras geese, the app’s actual usability is compromised. I really like this game but not being able to use it at all sometimes for some arbitrary reason almost makes it not worth playing.

Criminally underrated!
It really sucks to see so many low ratings, this game is terrific! There are many ads, yes…but they’re usually interactive and only a few seconds long. I think keeping forced ads to failure would be good. Personally, I like to use them to take a break from the screen ^^

Ad Central & Unclear Narrative
I love the art style!! It’s beautiful. But this app shoves ads down your throat roughly every 1-2 min. It’d be great if ads were reduced to just when you failed rather than constant and random. Another thing, it took me awhile to figure out what all of the various cat’s quirks do! It never explains it. I do like how the game intros how perk cards work but other than that it’s confusing. I would love an update to patch ads !!

my only gripe is how there just arent that many perks

The concept is interesting but oh my god the ads. There are so many ads. Every five seconds there are ads and if you fail they force even more ads onto you. If you win? Have some ads. And there’s no explanation for any special traits that the cats have (that I can find) and it seems impossible to reach the goal in time. Turning off WiFi and cellular doesn’t work either, even though it doesn’t seem like it needs WiFi.
