I only use the sound recorder library feature. I’ve cataloged all his different meows and labeled them myself. Playing back the “I’m hungry” meow when he’s begging for second dinner confuses him so much he stops. Worth it just for that trick.

My new kitten makes the weirdest sounds! This helped me figure out that her little chirps at laser dots are “prey-drive excitement” and not distress. The socialisation tips based on her fear-hiss analysis were super practical. A great guide for a newbie like me.

Trying to teach my young kids to respect the cat was hard. Now, when Mittens flicks her tail, my son grabs my phone to use the “body language decoder.” Seeing “Warning: Overstimulation. Suggest giving space” in simple words makes him actually back off! The “play vs. pain” guide helped us learn her boundaries during playtime. We use the “fun translate” feature for her silly chatter at birds, which the kids love. Sometimes it’s overly dramatic (a yawn becọmes “Profound boredom announced”), but it’s been amazing for fostering empathy and safe interactions.
