Charged $10 for free subscription

If I could give the app 0 stars I would. The original app had a login process to keep track of all of your cat’s meows and this version doesn’t. So not only did I loose all of my now deceased cat’s recordings but I couldn’t even find out wether or not retrieving them was possible until I chose a subscription option, which they said was going to be free for the first week. It apparently wasn’t as they charged our Apple account $10 (the subscription fee). A “free” subscription that i cancelled within ten minutes of starting it. Seriously?

Meowtalk payant ! 😠

Nul s’il faut payer ! On a pas tous les moyens de payer autant juste pour pouvoir parler avec son chat ! D’autres applications sont gratuites à cent pour cent et fonctionne. Avec Meowtalk on peut même pas essayer une traduction et avoir la réponse sans devoir payer avant .

Notre abonnement annuel inclut actuellement une période d’essai gratuite de 3 jours, afin que les utilisateurs puissent tester l’application avant de décider de continuer. L’abonnement peut être annulé à tout moment via les réglages d’abonnement Apple pendant cette période sans frais. Doesn’t seem to work

When I record my cat meowing, it usually says “That’s not a cat sound”. I’ve only ever gotten a translation once.

Hi, thanks for your feedback — and sorry for the frustration. The detection system can sometimes struggle if there’s background noise, low microphone volume, or if the meow is very short/unclear. We’re actively improving the cat sound recognition accuracy in future updates. For best results, try: -Recording in a quieter environment -Holding the phone closer to your cat -Using clearer/longer meows when possible If the issue continues, please contact us through the app support page so we can investigate further. We appreciate you helping us improve the experience.

I got the app and it started asking for a subscription YOU SAID THE APP WAS FREE
