Great app
Hats off to this app. Driving through Norway, unable to charge at so many stations due to their apps being useless, either errors or not allowing UK numbers. Downloaded Mer and was charging within 5 minutes.
To improve however, I’d just allow users to tap their bank card, easier user experience, saves people moving on to another station if they don’t have an rfid or app.

Not compatible with German citizens
I’ve tried to use one of the many charging stations in Norway but I’m not allowed to start charging. Very bad concept!
Tourists beware!
Don’t go to MER charging stations unless you are Norwegian and have a Norwegian mobile and a Norwegian bank card. The people who made this app forgot that there are tourists in the world. You cannot charge at MER and you will have to call them to get the plug out, it locks in your tourist car..
Don’t rely on it
Their backend/server operates quite poorly, apparently, because we couldn’t start the charging process from application. Trying to do so via SMS didn’t work either. We couldn’t even get the list of nearest Mer charging stations, only one of many attempts would work. We very lucky to have a Fortum charging station in 5 minutes drive, and their service works reliably, otherwise we would be in a serious trouble, as we had about 10% battery left. You just can’t rely on a service like that.

non-Norwegians cannot register
it‘ not possible to register to this app when you are not a Norwegian or Swedisch resident. This seems to me a very old-fashioned attitude of MER in todays internationally connected world.
