Makes it easier to buy stuff from mercaris japan version ! My only issue is the way they calculate shipping,.,.,..,I understand that tariffs can make shipping imported items quite expensive, but it really does feel as though they’re calculating some of this stuff properly…..!
Needs communication features!!
Since this is an app for users to sell 2nd hand items it seems logical for it to have a comment section like the other mercari so the buyers can price negotiate. Some sellers offer discounts for bundles yet the buyers can’t even comment on the item post for the bundle. Not only that but there’s only one shipping option unfortunately which is expensive even though I live on the coast. The marketplace fees are OUTRAGEOUS, makes me never even consider of buying anything especially with EVEN MORE fees on top of that. I also had such a horrible experience trying to make an account no way should it be so troublesome to make an account in general it’s 2026 cmon

annoying log in/sign up process
i understand you have to make a new account separate to your US mercari account but it won’t let me sign up to make a new account? it keeps saying there is an error or it just redirects me to the same form i’ve filled out multiple times. hopefully i can get this figured out soon

I might be the only person in the reviews who genuinely liked this app. Everything was simple and easy to use. I ordered stuff and they arrived in like a month! Great place to buy figures
Can’t Log In!
Consistently fails when attempting to log in. The help/contact us sends a would be user through a loop that sends you back to the beginning of your inquiry. I.T. Personnel that constructed this app need to be trained properly and if they fail again in the next update patch, FIRE THEM!! Too many problems since the launch of this app! I know their corporate office gotta be really frustrated! I’m in college and conducting a research paper on digital media; Mercari and this app will mention this bad experience.

Genuinely I read the reviews and that’s why I didn’t get it, but then I folded and I read the disclaimer when logging in and my god it says right there that your account for the OG Mercari app will not work. This app is great and works great, the reviewers are dumb af and you just need to make a new account.

takes my money but won’t show item
i’ve bought the same item twice now with the same problem both times. as soon as i purchase the item all of a sudden it says “could not retrieve” on the listing and order date. despite this, it still charges me the money but won’t show up in my order history in the app. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!!!!
overpriced
the shipping charges are ridiculously expensive, and for some reason the price goes up every time you select something in your cart. the prices they show u aren’t real, and it’s cheaper if you purchase somewhere else
Great Alternative to Using a Proxy (needs a bit more refinement).
The app is intuitive and makes purchasing items from Japan surprisingly straightforward. My only real complaint is that the search filters can be unreliable. Occasionally, applying filters causes the results to stall, forcing you to refresh the page before they load properly. Aside from that minor frustration, my overall experience has been very positive. I still prefer using a proxy service when buying from Japan, but for anyone looking for a simpler, more direct option, this app is an excellent alternative.

I’ve tried every way possible I had to use a safari to copy my text to log in because the keyboard doesn’t appear? I’m in USA btw and I’ve been having horrible issues with this app I cannot log in or make any purchases I’ve been sent 8 emails to verify and it literally doesn’t even work? Please fix this issue. This app has potential it just has awful service

Let’s me login when using a laptop or browser tab but it’s giving me a hard time login into the app!
Cant even get past log in page
Doesn’t work at all. Tried to log in ever since it first came out, thought it was a bug so i let it slide. Came back weeks later same issue. What’s the point of the app if you can’t even log in.

Payment won’t work unless you have card distributed through Japan. It work if you have a card outside of their country.
Login issues
I can’t login. I’m in an endless loop of trying to verify my email address. Because of that, I am unable to buy anything or even save anything. Sad day.
Easy to use and buy stuff
The app was easy to use and buy from, the only issue worth noting is that the search feature could use some revamping to make looking for items similar to your search easier rather than having to provide exact titles
ANNOYING
It doesn’t let me log in and I can’t purchase anything without an account. What’s even the point? Another thing is that even after I filter it out it still shows the items that are sold…
