Good app for pre vet or vet students to take a look at cases and broad info instead of asking their veterinarians everything. Helps them get a foot in the door to ask more specific questions that will impress their mentors. Great search tool, wide knowledge base. I love it

Animals hide symptoms very well; so the earlier they are found better for the animal. My daughter fosters along with her own dog and cats. I visit with them and use the Mereck app as a spring board for assistance or medication concerns but not for judgement of needed vet care.

I have both the hard copy and the app. I prefer the book when I’m in the house and have to research an issue that we have with our cattle. However, the app for me is more handy as I’m usually out in the great outdoors and with the cattle when a medical issue is noted. Both are outstanding resources but I will give the nod to the app as it is easier to carry and more handy as well as just as thorough as the book.
